COMMENT

Speedmaster Mark 4.5としてコレクターたちに呼ばれるRef.176.0012は、Mark IVのケースとMark Vのムーブメントの両方が採用された時計です。流線型のケースサイドがスポーティでありながらも、レーサー仕様の雰囲気を漂わせています。
このモデルは多機能な中4針時計で、センターの針はそれぞれ時分針、センタークロノ秒針、センタークロノ分針を示しています。ブラックマットのダイヤルには、6時位置が12時間積算系、9時位置が永久秒針、12時位置が24時間計で午前午後を一目で確認できるようなデザインが施されています。ブレスレットはRef.1162/072で、22mmから16mmまで強くテーパーの効いたデザインを持っています。搭載されているムーブメントはLemania 5100をベースにチューンナップされたCal.1045です。

ミントコンディションです。ケースは当時のプロポーションのままを保っています。ケースバックに保管に伴う小傷こそ見られるもの、ほとんど気になりません。インナーベゼルはブラックの色合いが濃く残り、みずみずしさを感じさせます。ダイヤルはパーフェクトな状態で、厳正に見ると1時の夜光塗料にわずかな欠けが見られますが、ほとんど気になりません。理想的に焼けたベージュカラーが芳醇な雰囲気を漂わせています。弊社にて分解掃除が施され、この状態が保たれています。

オメガに正式にMARK認定されたモデルではないものの、4.5として独自の人気を博したスピードマスターです。ほとんど使用感のない素晴らしいコンディションで、当時のスタイルを存分にお楽しみいただけます。この時計は稀有な存在であり、コレクションに加えるには理想的な一品です。

BRAND

今でこそ「Speedmasterイコール宇宙」という図式がすぐに浮かび上がりますが、初期の世代は宇宙とは全く関係のない、純粋なモータースポーツ用の時計として誕生。また、スピードマスターは、ダイヤルではなく外周ベゼルにタキメーターを表示した世界で初めての時計と言われています。1959年、スピードマスターはマイナーチェンジをします。ベゼルがアルミニウムの黒色ベースとなり、針の形状がアロー針からアルファ針に変更されたことで、より視認性が高まっています。NASAは宇宙での過酷な環境にも耐えうる丈夫なクロノグラフを探しており、名だたる強豪に勝ったスピードマスターを公式時計として採用。その後1969年人類初の月面着陸の際、スピードマスターを着用していたことは有名なお話。

COMMENT

The Speedmaster Mark 4.5, affectionately named by collectors, Ref.176.0012, amalgamates the case of the Mark IV with the movement of the Mark V. The streamlined case exudes a sporty yet race-inspired atmosphere, making it a unique addition to the Speedmaster family.

This multifunctional chronograph features a central hand indicating hours and minutes, a center chrono-seconds hand, and a center chrono-minutes hand. The black matte dial incorporates a design where the 6 o'clock position tallies up to 12 hours, the 9 o'clock position acts as a constant seconds sub-dial, and the 12 o'clock position serves as a 24-hour indicator for easy AM/PM reference. The bracelet, Ref.1162/072, showcases a strong tapering design from 22mm to 16mm. The movement powering this timepiece is the Cal.1045, a Lemania 5100-based movement with tuning.

In mint condition, the case retains its original proportions. While minor scratches on the case back from storage are present, they are hardly noticeable. The black hue of the inner bezel remains rich, exuding a vibrant freshness. The dial is in perfect condition, with only a slight chip in the luminescent paint at 1 o'clock, barely noticeable. The ideally aged beige color imparts a rich and enchanting ambiance. It has undergone disassembly and cleaning at our facility, preserving its current state.

Although not officially recognized as a MARK-certified model by Omega, the Speedmaster 4.5 has garnered its own unique popularity. With minimal signs of use, this exceptional condition allows you to fully enjoy the style of that era. A rare find, this timepiece is an ideal addition to any collection.

BRAND

While the contemporary association of "Speedmaster equals space" is immediate, the initial generations were born purely as motorsport watches unrelated to space. The Speedmaster is renowned for being the world's first watch to feature a tachymeter on the outer bezel instead of the dial. In 1959, the Speedmaster underwent a minor change, transitioning to a black aluminum base for the bezel and changing the shape of the hands from arrow to alpha, enhancing visibility. NASA, in search of a robust chronograph to withstand the harsh conditions of space, adopted the Speedmaster as its official timepiece after surpassing renowned competitors. The iconic moment came in 1969 when the Speedmaster, worn by astronauts, became the first watch on the moon during the historic Apollo 11 lunar landing.
