インヂュニアは、肉厚ケースに軟鉄製二重蓋で磁力への耐性に特化した特殊モデルとして有名です。重厚なケースは腕にずっしりとくる重さで、着用の際に高い満足感を味わえます。ダイヤルはマットホワイト。60年代からはシルバーのサンレイダイアルへと変わってしまうため、初期に見られる文字盤です。針は鏡面仕上げされたドルフィンハンドの時分針と、細くまっすぐな秒針です。インヂュニアの夜光無しノンデイトモデルは珍しく、ドレスモデルの影響が感じられます。貴重なキャッツアイロゴバックルを備えた、ゲイフレアー社製の純正のビーズオブライスブレスレット、クラスプデイト65/1が装着されています。こちらはライスが短い初期のタイプで、希少です。

搭載キャリバー853はマニファクチュールインターのペラトン方式の自動巻を備えたムーブメントで、爪により両回転での自動巻を実現しており、その性能の高さから現代でも使用されている機構。巻上げ効率も大変良い評価の高い機械です。

ダイヤルはミントコンディションです。インヂュニアはパティナが現れている個体が多く、初期のホワイトダイヤルで状態の良いものはなかなか見つかりません。ルーペで確認すると、いくらか斑点の経年変化が見られますが、肉眼ではほとんど気になりません。針やインデックス、パールドロップは艶感が十分に残っています。ケースは小傷の少ない良個体です。ツールウォッチでありながら、大切に使用されてきたのではないでしょうか。全体的に高評価なコンディションです。

The Ingenieur is renowned for its specialised design, featuring a thick case with a soft iron inner shield for enhanced magnetic resistance. The substantial case feels heavy on the wrist, providing a high level of satisfaction when worn. The dial is matte white, a feature of the early models before switching to silver sunray dials in the 1960s. The hands include mirror-finished dauphine hour and minute hands and a slender, straight seconds hand. The non-date, non-luminous Ingenieur model is rare and exhibits a dressier influence. It comes with a precious original beads-of-rice bracelet made by Gay Frères, featuring the distinctive "cat's eye" logo buckle and clasp date 65/1. This early type has shorter beads, making it particularly rare.

The movement is the caliber 853, equipped with IWC’s Pelaton winding system, allowing bi-directional automatic winding. This mechanism is highly efficient and remains well-regarded for its reliability and performance.

The dial is in mint condition. It is uncommon to find early white dials in such good condition, as many Ingenieur dials develop patina over time. Upon close inspection with a loupe, some speckling from age can be seen, but it is hardly noticeable to the naked eye. The hands, indices, and pearl drops retain their luster. The case has minimal scratches, indicating careful use. Although designed as a tool watch, it appears to have been well-preserved. Overall, it is in highly commendable condition.
