COMMENT

シンプルなスポーツテイストを追求したトップタイム。ケースは初期のモノコックから防水スナップへ変更されたものです。ダイヤルデザインはこれこそクラシック60'sクロノグラフといったパンダ。バーインデックス × バーハンドの奇をてらわないストレートなブライトリングです。シルバーカラーのダイヤルに、オレンジのセコンド針が映えます。たったこれだけのことでカジュアルな時計としてのキャラクターを確立させています。

ムーブメントはかつてのヴィーナス188ことバルジューの7730を搭載しています。ほどなくして7733へ切り替わっていますので、流通数は多くありません。

ケースには保管傷が見られますが、痩せの少ない素晴らしいプロポーションで、太いラグがたくましいです。ダイヤルは写真では夜光周りにシミが見られますが、実際に肉眼で見ると、ほとんど気になりません。針はプリントに劣化はありません。センタークロノのオレンジの色味を保持しています。弊社にて分解掃除済みで、パワーリザーブ48時間、日差＋10秒を確認しています。

トップタイムは1962年に販売が開始されたモデルですが、1964年にデザインを一新して再発売されました。そのコンセプトは若者目線であり、「父の持っている時計ではなく、仲間同士で好ましい時計」ということでした。個性的かつエレガントな時計として、展開されたトップタイムは文字盤のバリエーションやケースのバリエーションが豊富で、金無垢、GF、SSなど、ある一つの形にとどまらない、解放と自由を象徴するタイムピースです。

1884年、スイスのサン・ティミエに複雑時計製作の工房が設立されたのが＜BREITLING＞のルーツ。創業者のレオン・ブライトリングはクロノグラフ製作の才能に富み、博覧会では数々の賞を受賞、その名を世間に知らしめました。彼はエンジン飛行機が発展途上であった頃から航空産業の発展を確信し、飛行機のための時計や計器メーカーとして航空産業を支える意志を示しました。その意志を受け継いだ2代目ガストン・ブライトリングは世界初の腕時計型クロノグラフを開発するなど航空産業に多大な貢献をしています。“クロノグラフのスペシャリスト”として確固たる地位を築いた＜BREITLING＞は、今なお世界中で愛されている名門ブランドとして発展し続けています。

COMMENT

The Top Time is a pursuit of a simple sports aesthetic. The case transitioned from an early monobloc to a waterproof snap-back design. Its dial design epitomizes the classic 60s chronograph with a panda layout. Featuring bar indexes and baton hands, it exudes a straightforward Breitling charm. The silver dial with an orange seconds hand adds to its casual character effortlessly.

It houses the Venus 188, later known as the Valjoux 7730 movement. Shortly after, it was updated to the 7733, making it relatively scarce in circulation.

The case shows storage marks but retains a fantastic proportion with robust lugs. While the dial may appear to have some patina around the luminous markers in photos, it's hardly noticeable to the naked eye. The hands show no signs of deterioration, maintaining the vibrant orange color of the center chronograph hand. It has been disassembled and cleaned by our company, confirming a 48-hour power reserve and +10 seconds accuracy.

The Top Time model was first introduced in 1962 and redesigned for relaunch in 1964. Geared towards younger audiences, it aimed to be a preferred choice among peers rather than a watch handed down from fathers. As an emblem of liberation and freedom, the Top Time offered a wide range of dial and case variations in solid gold, gold-filled, stainless steel, and more, embodying an individualistic yet elegant timepiece.

In 1884, in the Swiss town of Saint-Imier, the workshop for complex watchmaking was founded, marking the roots of <BREITLING>. Founder Léon Breitling was renowned for his prowess in chronograph production, winning numerous awards at exhibitions and establishing his name in the industry. Recognizing the burgeoning aviation industry during the early days of engine-powered flight, he showed a steadfast commitment to supporting aviation by producing watches and instruments for aircraft. His legacy was continued by his son Gaston Breitling, who developed the world's first wrist-worn chronograph, solidifying <BREITLING>'s position as a pioneer in aviation-related timekeeping. Today, <BREITLING> remains a prestigious brand beloved worldwide, known as the specialist in chronographs.
