オメガのフラッグシップモデル、コンステレーション。ダイヤルは中央がマットホワイト仕上げ、外側が同心円状のヘアライン仕上げを施したパイパンダイヤルです。時分針はドルフィンハンド。針は全て専用で短く、パイパンの内側に沿って精巧に動きます。バーインデックスは台形のファセットが美しく、オメガの上位機種らしい意匠が施されています。輝きの強いダイヤルを細かく配されたブラックとクロスラインが引き締め、秀逸なデザインに仕上がっています。

全回転自動巻の第2世代キャリバー551を搭載。550番台以降のキャリバーは、無駄を極力省いたスマートで完成度の高い機械へと進化しました。その結果、デザインの規制が軽減され、よりスタイリッシュなフェイスが実現されています。

ダイヤルは写真の通り、全体にポツポツとした経年変化が見られますが、焼けは少なく、肉眼ではさほど気になりません。針やインデックス、アプライドのΩロゴは鏡面のメッキが剥がれることなく、瑞々しい光沢を保っています。ケースは良いプロポーションで、ベゼルのエッジがしっかりと残っています。60年代の雰囲気をリアルに楽しめる一品です。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

星座を意味する「コンステレーション」は、オメガの最高精度と自動巻を両立させた珠玉のモデルです。クオーツ時計が普及する前の「精度こそ絶対的な価値」とされた時代に生まれた最高峰の時計です。

この世代のオメガのムーブメントは自動巻効率が非常に優れており、手巻きを必要とすることはほとんどありません。コンステレーションのオリジナル竜頭はデザイン性を重視しており、手巻きが少し重く感じられることがありますが、これはオリジナルの仕様であり、機能的には問題ありません。

Omega’s flagship model, the Constellation, boasts a dial with a matte white central finish and a concentric brushed finish on the outer portion, creating a striking pie-pan dial. The hour and minute hands are dolphin-shaped, designed specifically to be short, moving precisely along the inner edge of the pie-pan dial. The trapezoidal faceted bar indices add a touch of elegance characteristic of Omega's higher-end models. The bright dial is accentuated by finely placed black crosshairs, resulting in a refined and exceptional design.

This watch is equipped with the fully automatic Caliber 551, the second-generation movement in the 550 series. The 550 series represents a significant evolution towards a more streamlined and high-performing mechanism, minimizing unnecessary components and allowing for a more stylish dial design.

As shown in the photos, the dial exhibits some patina consistent with its age, though it remains relatively free from significant discoloration, and these marks are not particularly noticeable to the naked eye. The hands, indices, and applied Omega logo retain their mirror-like plating, shining with a fresh luster. The case maintains good proportions, with the bezel edges remaining sharp. This timepiece offers a genuine taste of the 1960s. It has been fully serviced by our company and is ready for immediate use.

"Constellation," named after the star clusters, represents Omega's pursuit of the perfect blend of accuracy and automatic movement. It was born during a time when accuracy was considered the ultimate value, long before the rise of quartz watches.

The movements from this Omega era are known for their highly efficient automatic winding, making manual winding almost unnecessary. The original crown design on the Constellation emphasizes aesthetics, which can make manual winding feel slightly stiff; however, this is by design and does not affect functionality.
