歴代セイコー機械式腕時計の最高傑作との呼び声の高いCal.4520A搭載機、45GSです。ケースは通称「セイコースタイル」と呼ばれるもので、後のグランドセイコーに大きな功績を残したデザイン性の高いものが採用されています。GSリューズや裏蓋のGSメダリオンなど、随所にGSならではの精緻な造り込みが確認できます。サンレイ仕上げの美しいシルバーダイヤル。バーインデックスにドーフィンハンドのクラシカルな組み合わせで、どちらもセンターにブラックを配し読時性能の向上が図られています。ノンデイトのシンプルなデザインが好印象な一品です。搭載Cal.4520Aはブリッジ式のテンプ受けが印象的な10振動／秒（36,000振動/時）です。石数は手巻の標準的な17石より多く、耐摩耗性に優れています。アンティークのグランドセイコーの中でも45GSは45GS VFAまで発展。10振動という高振動があったからこそ、発展したのだと推測できます。

The 45GS, equipped with the highly acclaimed Cal.4520A, is hailed as one of the finest mechanical wristwatches ever produced by Seiko. The case features the so-called "Seiko Style," a design that has significantly influenced the later Grand Seiko models. The intricate craftsmanship of the GS crown and the GS medallion on the case back exemplify the attention to detail unique to GS. The watch showcases a beautiful sunburst silver dial, with classical bar indices and Dauphine hands, both featuring black center accents to enhance legibility. The non-date, simple design adds to its appeal.

The Cal.4520A movement, with its impressive 10 beats per second (36,000 vibrations per hour), is notable for its bridge-type escapement. With more jewels than the standard 17 for hand-wound movements, it boasts exceptional wear resistance.
