1950年代に製造された手巻スクエアモデル、Ref.N6574です。ツーピース構造の14金無垢ケースは28.0mm × 29.0mmと、現代の時計に比べるとコンパクトでありながら、手巻きならではのスリムで腕にしっくりとなじむサイズ感が特徴です。ダイヤルには珍しいタペストリー模様が施され、ゴールドケースとの相性が抜群です。シンプルながら洗練されたヴィンテージの雰囲気を漂わせています。クサビインデックスとドーフィンハンドの組み合わせがクラシカルな魅力を引き立て、6時位置のスモールセコンドがさらにその印象を深めます。

搭載されているCal.300シリーズは、R17.8の後継機として1949年に登場した角形ムーブメントで、スモールセコンドとインカブロックを備えており、クラシックでありながら実用性も兼ね備えています。

ケースは年式を考慮しても非常に良好なコンディションを保っています。ダイヤルには保管による経年変化がわずかに見受けられますが、肉眼ではほとんど気になりません。針やインデックス、アプライドのロゴには経年変化もなく、非常にきれいな状態です。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

レクタングルケースが全盛を迎えた時代を過ぎ、ラウンドケースが主流となった後に生産数が少なくなったCal.300シリーズ。スモールセコンドのデザインも時代の流れに従い少なくなり、ほとんど見かけなくなりました。これに加えて、14金無垢ケースにタペストリーダイヤルというクラシックなデザインは、当時数奇な好みとされたコレクターに珍重されたことでしょう。

This is the manual square model Ref. N6574, produced in the 1950s. The two-piece 14k solid gold case measures 28.0mm × 29.0mm, which is compact compared to modern watches, but it offers a slim and comfortable fit on the wrist, typical of hand-wound models. The dial features a rare tapestry pattern, which complements the gold case beautifully. The simple yet sophisticated design exudes a vintage charm. The combination of wedge indexes and dauphine hands enhances the classical appeal, while the small seconds at the 6 o'clock position deepens this impression.

The Cal. 300 series movement, introduced in 1949 as the successor to the R17.8, is a square-shaped movement with a small seconds hand and Incabloc shock protection. This combination of classic design and practicality makes it both elegant and functional.

The case is in excellent condition, even considering its age. There are slight signs of age-related changes on the dial, but they are barely noticeable to the naked eye. The hands, indexes, and applied logo show no signs of aging and remain in very clean condition. The watch has been disassembled and serviced by us.

The Cal. 300 series became less common after the popularity of rectangular cases faded and round cases took over. The small seconds design also became less prevalent as time went on and is now rarely seen. Additionally, the classic design with a 14k solid gold case and tapestry dial was a unique preference of collectors at the time, making it even more valuable.
