1963年のシーマスター。ケースは18金無垢。シーマスター1型にアレンジを加えたもので、スクリューバックにぽってりとしたサイズ感、肉厚なラグが魅力的です。ダイヤルはシルクのような仕上げを採用しています。1970年前後によく見られるリネンダイヤルよりもさらに細かい仕上げで、ダイヤルの仕上げに装飾を取り入れた先駆けに感じます。インデックスと針にルミナスがなく、ドレスモデルらしいブラックプリントを塗布しています。

地板に赤色金メッキを施した耐久性のある美しいムーブメントCal.562を搭載。人気と高評価を得ている＜500番台キャリバー＞。550番台以降のキャリバーは、無駄を省いたスマートで完成された機械へと移行し、デザインの規制が軽減され、よりスタイリッシュなフェイスが実現されています。

This is a 1963 Seamaster. The case is solid 18-carat gold. It's an adaptation of the Seamaster Type 1, featuring a screw-back case with a pleasingly plump feel and thick, attractive lugs. The dial has a silk-like finish. It's even finer than the linen dials commonly seen around 1970, feeling like a precursor to decorative dial finishes. The indices and hands lack luminous material, instead featuring black printing typical of dress models.

It's equipped with the durable and beautiful Cal.562 movement, with its base plate plated in red gold. This is one of the popular and highly-regarded '500 series' calibres. From the 550 series onwards, the calibres transitioned to smarter, more refined mechanisms with less superfluity, allowing for more relaxed design regulations and more stylish faces.

The dial shows slight ageing with small spots, but these are hardly noticeable to the naked eye. The case has good proportions with no major scratches or dents. The thick lugs are splendid, giving a more three-dimensional feel when worn. Our company has serviced it.
