COMMENT

ケースは1950年代らしい太いラグを備え、端正なラウンドの輪郭が際立ちます。ダイヤルはグレーを含んだホワイトトーン。3・6・9・12のアラビア数字と幅のあるバーインデックスを配置し、先端のドット夜光がリズムよく整ったレイアウトです。実用性を意識した明快な意匠で、当時のスポーツ・ロンジンらしい表情を作っています。

ケースは傷が少なく、ラグのエッジを含めプロポーションが良好です。ダイヤルは色づきが少なく、クリアな表情を保っています。インデックスはきれいな状態を維持しています。針は表面にわずかな曇りが見られますが、全体の雰囲気とよく馴染んでいます。ドット夜光は芳醇なベージュへ落ち着き、フェイスの印象を引き締めます。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

ロンジンがオメガの30mm系ムーブメントに真正面から挑んだ意欲作です。搭載ムーブメントは「Cal.30L」のセンターセコンド仕様であるCal.30LS。一般的にセンターセコンド化は、スモールセコンド仕様をベースに追加部品で成立させる例が多い中、本機は専用部品の比率が高く、1番受けや輪列受けの構成に至るまで大きく手を入れた設計が見どころです。Cal.30LSは30L系の中でも生産数が限られ、コンディションまで揃うと出会いが難しくなるキャリバーです。

COMMENT

The case features the broad lugs characteristic of the 1950s, accentuating its well-proportioned round silhouette. The dial presents a white tone with a subtle hint of grey. Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9, and 12 are paired with wide bar indexes, while dot lume at the tips creates a measured visual rhythm. The design is clear and purposeful, reflecting the practical sporting character associated with Longines during this period.

The case shows minimal signs of wear, and the overall proportions—including the lug edges—remain well defined. The dial exhibits little discoloration and retains a crisp appearance. The indexes remain clean, while the hands show slight surface patina that blends naturally with the overall tone. The dot lume has matured into a rich beige, lending depth and cohesion to the face. This model represents Longines’ direct response to the 30mm-class movements produced by Omega. It is powered by Cal. 30LS, the center-seconds variant of the renowned Cal. 30L. While center-seconds conversions were often achieved by adapting small-seconds bases with additional components, this caliber stands out for its extensive use of dedicated parts, including substantial revisions to the main plate and train bridge architecture. Production numbers of the 30LS were limited within the 30L family, and examples combining mechanical integrity with strong overall condition have become increasingly difficult to encounter.
