独自のケースデザインが魅力のポラリスです。1980年代にチタンケースのモデルが誕生してから、オメガの代表モデルとして一躍人気を博しました。ケース本体はチタンで、18金無垢イエローゴールドが流し込まれた、コストをかけたデザインです。ねじ込み式竜頭とプッシュを採用した当時120m防水を記録したモデルでした。ダイヤルはグレーで、ゴールドプリントがラグジュアリーな雰囲気を高めています。専用ブレスレットRef.1485/829はチタンのため、軽量で着用感に優れます。

ケースは使用に伴う小傷がわずかに見られますが、輪郭を損なうような大きなダメージは確認できません。ダイヤルはミントコンディションを維持しており、プリントの抜けや視認性を妨げる要素は見受けられません。ベゼルおよびダイヤル上のルミナスは落ち着いたベージュトーンへと変化しており、全体の色調に自然に馴染んでいます。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

軽量なチタンに貴金属の意匠を組み合わせた設計は当時としてもコストと手間を要するものでした。ラインナップにはクォーツが多く見られる一方、自動巻クロノグラフ・クロノメーターの個体は相対的に出会いが少なく、シリーズの中でも珍しい存在です。素材感とデザインの一体感、そしてチタンならではの着用感が、このモデルを今見ても新鮮に感じさせます。

The Polaris stands out for its distinctive case architecture. Introduced in the 1980s with a titanium case, it quickly rose to prominence as one of Omega’s representative models of the era. The case body is crafted in titanium, into which solid 18K yellow gold elements are seamlessly integrated—an ambitious and cost-intensive design for its time. Equipped with a screw-down crown and pushers, it was rated to 120 meters of water resistance when released. The grey dial is accented with gold printing, enhancing its refined, luxurious character. The dedicated titanium bracelet Ref. 1485/829 contributes to exceptional lightness and comfort on the wrist.

The case shows minor surface marks consistent with use, though no significant damage that would compromise its overall form is present. The dial remains in mint condition, with no loss to the printing or elements affecting legibility. The luminous material on both the bezel and dial has aged to a calm beige tone, harmonizing naturally with the watch’s overall color palette. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

The combination of lightweight titanium with precious metal detailing required considerable effort and expense at the time of production. While many Polaris models were quartz-powered, examples fitted with an automatic chronograph chronometer are encountered far less frequently, making them comparatively rare within the series. The cohesion between material and design, together with the uniquely comfortable wearing experience of titanium, allows this model to feel remarkably contemporary even today.
