GRAND SEIKO Ref.4522-8010 18K Yellow Gold

COMMENT

COMMENT

The Seiko 45GS, renowned as the masterpiece among Seiko's mechanical wristwatches, features the esteemed Cal.4522 movement. Housed within an 18K solid gold case with intricate hammered finish, the cushion-shaped design exudes a sense of luxury unique to solid gold timepieces. The sunray-finished silver dial, adorned with bar indices and bar hands, strategically incorporates black accents at the center to enhance legibility. Its non-date simplicity adds to its favorable impression.

The Cal.4522 movement operates at an impressive 10 vibrations per second (36,000 vibrations per hour), with its notable bridge-style balance cock. With more jewels than the standard 17-jewel manual movements, it boasts superior wear resistance. The 45GS, even among vintage Grand Seiko models, evolved to the 45GS VFA. Its high frequency of 10 vibrations per second likely contributed to its evolution.

The case exhibits outstanding proportions with no evidence of past polishing, maintaining its original allure with minimal scratches adding character without compromising its charm. The dial is in mint condition, with the hands and indices impeccably preserved. The watch has been disassembled and cleaned by our company.

The Seiko 45GS stands as an immensely popular model within the Grand Seiko lineup. We invite you to consider this masterpiece of Japanese watchmaking.
