戦乱の時代に貴族の依頼に応えて開発された防水性の高い時計、パシャ。1943年には原型となるラウンド型の防水時計が誕生します。リューズをミニチェーンの付いたねじ込み式のプロテクターで覆うことで、防水性と独自のデザインを実現しました。ダイヤルはシルバーのサンレイで、パシャにおいてここまでシンプルなダイヤルの個体は珍しいです。針は1940年代によく見られたロザンジュ。カルティエでは珍しい針の選定で、ブランドにおけるパシャの独自性が垣間見えます。夜光無しのダイヤルですので、針も夜光塗料が塗布されていません。意外と厚みのあるケースは、35.5mmと適度なサイズ感です。平面仕上げされたブレスレットの独特な光り方など、他に替えの利かない個性的なひと品です。

操作方法は、リューズに鎖でつながったねじ式のプロテクターが装備されており、これを回して外します。リューズ操作は一般的な時計と同じです。ビッグデイトは一段引きで早送りを行い、二段引きで時刻合わせを行います。自動巻きの性能の高いETAベースのムーブメントを搭載しています。

ケースは傷が見られない清潔感あふれるコンディションです。ブレスレットを含め、ヴィンテージ品とは思えないほどの状態を保っています。ダイヤルはミントコンディションです。入水の形跡はなく、ダイヤルのテクスチャや針も当時のまま残しています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

1943年に現在のパシャの原型が生まれて以来、大きなアラビア数字と鎖で留めたクラウンプロテクターがパシャのアイデンティティです。1995年にはオールステンレスの実用的なモデルとしてパシャCが発売されました。防水性と独自のデザインを併せ持つモデルです。

1900年代、飛行士サントス・デュモンが飛行中に時刻を確認できるようカルティエにオーダーしたのが「サントス」の始まり。そのサントスのなかでも八角形型モデル「サントスオクタゴン」は、平面上にカットが入ったブレスが、腕を動かす度にキラキラと煌めきます。シンプルながらもエレガントな印象を与えるモデルです。

The Pasha, developed in response to requests from nobility during wartime, is known for its high water resistance. The prototype of this round, waterproof watch emerged in 1943. Its crown is covered with a screw-down protector attached by a mini chain, enhancing both water resistance and unique design. The dial features a silver sunray finish, making such a simple design rare for the Pasha. The hands are of the "losange" style, common in the 1940s, which is an unusual choice for Cartier, underscoring the Pasha’s distinctiveness within the brand. Without luminescence on the dial, the hands also lack luminous paint. The relatively thick case, measuring 35.5mm, provides a well-proportioned size. The flat-finished bracelet adds to its unique appeal, offering an irreplaceable and individualistic piece.

To operate, the crown protector with its attached chain is unscrewed and removed. Crown operation is standard, with the first pull setting the big date and the second pull adjusting the time. The watch is powered by a high-performance ETA-based automatic movement.

The case is in pristine condition, free from scratches and exuding cleanliness. The bracelet, too, remains in a state that defies its vintage nature. The dial is in mint condition with no signs of water ingress, preserving the texture and hands as they were originally. Since its inception in 1943, the Pasha's identity has been marked by large Arabic numerals and the chain-secured crown protector. The Pasha C model, launched in 1995, further exemplifies this with an all-stainless steel, practical design, combining water resistance with unique aesthetics.
