LEMANIA Ref.921-62。TISSOTやOMEGAなどにエボーシュを供給していた名門レマニアによる一本です。ラウンドケースに肉厚なラグを組み合わせた端正なデザインは、1950年代後半から1960年代にかけて多く見られた王道のスタイル。フラットで幅広なベゼルが重厚感を引き立て、スクリューバック構造を採用しています。ケースバックには当時のセールスポイントであった耐磁性や防水性を示す刻印が確認できます。プレーンなホワイトダイヤルにはカッパーカラーの針とインデックスが配され、ペンシルハンドと飛びアラビア数字が温かみのある表情を演出しています。

製造から約70年を経たケースには保管に伴う小傷が見られますが、大きなダメージはなく、良好なプロポーションを維持しています。丸みを帯びたラグは均整が取れ、フラットベゼルのエッジも明瞭です。ミニッツトラックやレターのプリントに劣化は見られず、針とインデックスも美しい輝きを保っています。夜光塗料は理想的な色合いです。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

ムーブメントには自社製Cal.3065を搭載。緩急針から突き出た金色のデバイスが特徴で、ヒゲ棒とヒゲ受の双方に備えられています。これは衝撃時にヒゲゼンマイが乗り上げることを防ぐ役割を果たすもので、OMEGAの名機Cal.321にも採用された機構です。名門ルマニアの技術力を体現する、質実剛健かつ魅力に満ちた一本です。

BRAND

1884年の創業当初から、 クロノグラフを手掛けるエボーシュメーカーとして活躍。1940年代には自社名を冠したミリタリーウォッチを製作し、イギリス軍やスウェーデン軍に軍用時計を供給しています。 特にイギリス軍には陸・海・空軍すべてに同社のクロノグラフが採用されるなど、信頼度の高さを証明しています。また、エボーシュメーカーとしては、1932年以降にOMEGAなどのムーブメントの供給元にもなっています。 1969年の、アポロ11号月面着陸の際にアームストロング船長の腕に巻かれていたオメガの＜スピードマスター＞の機械は、＜LEMANIA＞が手掛けていたことを忘れてはいけません。

Lemania Ref. 921-62 is a refined example from the esteemed manufacture Lemania, renowned for supplying ébauches to houses such as Tissot and Omega. The round case with robust, sculpted lugs reflects the quintessential design language of the late 1950s to early 1960s. A broad, flat bezel enhances the watch’s solidity, while the screw-back construction underscores its utilitarian intent. The caseback retains engravings highlighting its antimagnetic and waterproof properties—key selling points of the era. A clean white dial is complemented by copper-toned hands and indexes, with pencil hands and applied Arabic numerals lending warmth and vintage character.

After approximately seventy years, the case shows minor storage marks yet remains free from significant damage, preserving its balanced proportions. The rounded lugs are well defined, and the edges of the flat bezel remain crisp. The minute track and printed lettering display no visible degradation, while the hands and indexes maintain an attractive sheen. BRAND

Founded in 1884, Lemania established itself as a leading ébauche and chronograph manufacturer. By the 1940s, it produced military watches under its own name, supplying timepieces to the British and Swedish armed forces. From 1932 onward, Lemania became a key movement supplier to Omega and other prestigious brands. Notably, the movement inside the Omega Speedmaster worn by astronaut Neil Armstrong during the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969 was produced by Lemania—an enduring testament to the manufacture’s technical excellence.
