Tudor Submariner “Snowflake” pairs a matte blue dial with a matching rotating bezel, a configuration that clearly expresses Tudor’s distinct identity of the 1970s. The angular snowflake hands and square hour markers define its unmistakable character. The shield logo and 200m depth rating underscore its tool-watch origins, while today lending it a dignified vintage presence. Around 1976, the reference designation transitioned from “9411/0” to “94110”; this example bears the latter. It is fitted with a Rolex-made folded Double Oyster bracelet Ref. 9315, clasp code C (1978), with 380 end links.

The dial shows extremely restrained aging, with its matte texture remaining even and composed. The blue tone is stable, without excessive fading. The dial surface exhibits none of the bubbling sometimes seen on blue Submariners of this era, preserving its original character. The hands retain a mirror-like sheen without tarnish. The bezel pearl shows tonal change yet remains intact, and the insert is free from notable damage or significant fading. The luminous material on the indexes has gently aged to a natural cream hue, with no loss or deterioration. The case maintains its proportions, with ample lug thickness preserved. Ref. 9411/0 represents a pivotal period in which Tudor established its own iconography. This example, in particular, stands out for the condition of both dial and bezel insert, presenting the model’s appeal in its most unadulterated form. Well-preserved matte blue dials paired with original inserts are becoming increasingly scarce, and examples maintaining such balance are limited. With design, specification, and condition all aligned, this is an especially complete and compelling representative of the reference.
