洗練された印象を与える樽型のCラインケースは、1970年前後に多く見られたデザインで、ジェラルド・ジェンタによる設計とされる造形美が色濃く反映されています。前期型にあたるドーム型風防を備え、後期のガラス型風防とは異なる柔らかなヴィンテージテイストを楽しめます。フラットな鏡面仕上げのスムースベゼルは、ヘアライン仕上げのケースと対比を成し、スポーティーな緊張感を演出。シルバーのサンレイダイヤルにはバーインデックスとドーフィンハンドを配し、インデックス中央と針に施された夜光塗料が視認性を高めています。複雑にカッティングされたカレンダー枠も、この世代ならではの意匠です。ブレスレットはRef.1040、エンドリンク518を装着しています。

The refined tonneau-shaped C-line case reflects a design language frequently seen around 1970 and widely attributed to the aesthetic vision of Gerald Genta. This early example is fitted with a domed acrylic crystal, offering a softer vintage character distinct from the later flat mineral glass versions. The flat, mirror-polished smooth bezel contrasts elegantly with the brushed case surfaces, creating a subtle sporting tension. A silver sunburst dial hosts applied bar indexes and dauphine hands, with luminous accents at the center of the indexes and hands enhancing legibility. The intricately faceted date aperture frame is a hallmark detail of this generation. The watch is fitted with bracelet Ref. 1040 and end links 518.

The case retains well-balanced proportions, and the polished chamfers along the lugs remain clearly defined. The dial is beautifully preserved, with no visible flaking to the indexes or hands. Overall, this is a well-kept example in commendable condition. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.
