1978年に発表されたサントスシリーズの中でも、角形ケースを採用した代表的モデルがサントスカレRef.2961です。オクタゴンやラウンドと並ぶ3形状の展開の中で、特に象徴的な存在として知られています。1987年に登場したガルベと比較すると、平面で構成されたブレスレットが特徴で、端正かつ力強い印象を与えます。ポーセリンカラーのダイヤルには、カルティエを象徴するローマ数字とミニッツトラック、ブルースチールのバトン針が配され、洗練された美観を完成させています。ムーブメントには自動巻Cal.2671を搭載しています。

ケースは未仕上げの状態を保ち、使用に伴う傷は見られるものの、当時のプロポーションがしっかりと維持されています。ホワイトダイヤルは大変良好なコンディションで、クラックのないオリジナル個体です。ブルースチールの針は深みある色調を保ち、優れた保存状態を示しています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

Cartier Santos Carrée Ref. 2961 stands as one of the most iconic interpretations within the Santos series, introduced in 1978. Distinguished by its square case, it is recognized as a defining model among the three case shapes—square, octagonal, and round. Compared with the later Santos Galbée of 1987, the Carrée features a flat-link bracelet that conveys a sense of precision and strength. The porcelain-colored dial is adorned with Cartier’s signature Roman numerals, a chemin de fer minute track, and blued steel baton hands, forming a design of timeless elegance. Powering the watch is the automatic Cal. 2671, a reliable and refined movement.

The case remains unpolished, showing signs of wear consistent with age while preserving its original proportions. The white dial is in excellent condition, free from cracks and retaining its originality. The blued steel hands maintain their rich hue, reflecting the watch’s careful preservation.
