Ref.6694は、ロレックスが手巻きムーブメントで製造したデイト付きモデルの最終世代にあたります。1960年代から1970年代にかけておよそ20年間生産され、同一リファレンス内でも年式ごとにダイヤルの仕上げや針の仕様が異なり、それぞれが個性を放つのが特徴です。本個体は1966年製で、幅狭のバーインデックスとペンシルハンドによる端正な構成が魅力です。ダイヤルはシルバーの光沢が美しく、光を受けると水面のような艶めきを見せます。インデックス上面にはブラックの塗料が施され、フェイス全体に上品なコントラストを生み出しています。ブレスレットはフォールデッド仕様のオイスターブレスレットRef.7835、エンドリンク357 を装備しています。

Ref. 6694 belongs to the final generation of Rolex date models powered by a manual-winding movement. Produced for approximately two decades from the 1960s through the 1970s, the reference appeared with a range of dial finishes and hand configurations over the course of its production. This example dates to 1966 and presents a clean, balanced appearance with slender baton indexes and pencil hands. The silver dial has a rich sheen that reflects the light with an almost fluid quality, while black accents on the indexes provide a restrained contrast. It is fitted with a folded-link Oyster bracelet, Ref. 7835, with 357 end links.

The case remains in excellent condition with virtually no scratches, and the lugs retain substantial thickness. The dial shows no noticeable signs of aging and preserves its original lustre. The applied indexes and coronet retain their mirror-like finish, while the luminous material has aged to a warm beige tone. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.
