1972年製、グランドセイコー56GSシリーズのRef.5641-7000です。デイト表示を持たないシンプルな3針モデルで、自動巻きハイビートムーブメントCal.5641Aを搭載しています。ステンレススチール製のケースは、1970年代らしい滑らかな曲線を描くCライン。シルバーダイヤルに立体的なバーインデックスとバーハンドを組み合わせ、6時位置には「GS」「HI-BEAT」の表記が配されています。余計な要素を省いた端正なフェイスと、ボリュームのあるケースとの対比が印象的です。

ケースは使用に伴う細かな傷が見られるものの、ケースサイドからラグへ続くラインやエッジがしっかりと残った良好なコンディションです。ヘアラインと鏡面を切り替えたケースの仕上げもよく確認できます。シルバーダイヤルは目立った劣化が少なく、プリント、インデックス、針も良好な状態を保っています。ケースバックにはGSメダリオンが残り、ムーブメントも全体としてきれいな状態です。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

56GSは、自動巻きとハイビートを組み合わせた実用性の高いグランドセイコーとして、1970年代を代表するシリーズのひとつです。その中でもRef.5641-7000はカレンダーを持たないことでダイヤルの左右対称性が際立ち、Cラインケースの造形を純粋に楽しめるモデルです。ヴィンテージ・グランドセイコーらしい仕上げの良さと、日常使いしやすいバランスを備えた個体です。

COMMENT

This Grand Seiko Ref. 5641-7000 dates to 1972 and belongs to the 56GS series. A clean, time-only three-hand model without a date display, it is powered by the automatic high-beat Cal. 5641A. The stainless-steel case features the smooth C-shaped profile characteristic of the 1970s. Its silver dial is fitted with applied baton indexes and matching baton hands, with “GS” and “HI-BEAT” signed above six o’clock. The restrained dial layout is nicely balanced by the substantial proportions of the case.

The case shows minor scratches from normal use, while retaining well-defined lines and edges from the case sides through to the lugs. The contrast between the brushed and polished surfaces remains clearly visible. The silver dial shows little noticeable deterioration, with the printing, indexes, and hands all remaining in good condition. The GS medallion is retained on the caseback, and the movement is also clean overall. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

The 56GS is one of the Grand Seiko lines that defined the 1970s, combining automatic winding with a high-beat movement for strong practical usability. Within the series, the Ref. 5641-7000 stands out for its date-free layout, which gives the dial a particularly balanced symmetry and allows the form of the C-shaped case to take greater focus. It is a well-preserved example that combines the fine finishing associated with vintage Grand Seiko with proportions well suited to regular wear.
