1980年代に製造された、幾何学的な造形が印象的なオーデマ ピゲのドレスウォッチです。18Kイエローゴールド製のケースと一体型ブレスレットには、鏡面仕上げと細かな彫金を交互に施し、光の反射に変化を持たせています。コブラを想起させる滑らかなケースラインに、サテン仕上げのゴールドダイヤルを組み合わせ、各時位置にはダイヤモンドインデックスを配置。時分針にもダイヤモンドを連続してセットしており、その厚みに対応するため、風防とダイヤルの間に十分なクリアランスを設けた専用構造が採用されています。

ケースには使用に伴う微細な傷が見られるものの、目立つ打痕はなく、裏蓋のホールマークも明瞭に残っています。ゴールドダイヤルには目立つ変色や傷がなく、ダイヤモンドをセットした針とインデックスも良好な状態です。複雑に組み上げられたブレスレットは使用感が少なく、伸びもほとんど感じられません。細かな彫金と鏡面仕上げの切り替えは鮮明で、しなやかな可動性と金無垢特有の重量感を保っています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

ムーブメントは薄型の手巻きCal.2080を搭載。21石仕様で、地板には温度差、等時性、5姿勢での調整を示す刻印が施されています。1980年代のオーデマ ピゲには、ロイヤル オークに代表されるラグジュアリースポーツとは異なる方向から、金細工と宝飾技術を追求したモデルが数多く存在しました。本作はケース、ダイヤル、針、ブレスレットを一体の造形としてまとめ、時計とジュエリーの境界を曖昧にした当時ならではの一本です。ケースからダイヤルまでを同系色で統一することで、金無垢モデルらしい華やかさと落ち着きを兼ね備えています。

COMMENT

This Audemars Piguet dress watch dates from the 1980s and is distinguished by its geometric construction. The 18K yellow gold case and integrated bracelet alternate between polished surfaces and finely engraved sections, creating varied reflections across the exterior. Flowing case lines reminiscent of the Cobra are paired with a satin-finished gold dial set with diamond hour markers. The hour and minute hands are also set with a continuous row of diamonds, requiring a purpose-built construction with sufficient clearance between the dial and crystal.

The case shows fine scratches from use but no prominent dents, while the hallmarks on the case back remain clearly legible. The gold dial is free from noticeable discoloration or scratches, and the diamond-set hands and indexes are also well preserved. The intricately constructed bracelet shows little wear and virtually no stretch. Its contrasting engraved and polished finishes remain crisp, while the bracelet retains both its flexibility and the substantial feel of solid gold. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

Inside is the slim manually wound Cal.2080, a 21-jewel movement marked on the mainplate as adjusted for temperature, isochronism, and five positions. Alongside the luxury sports watches represented by the Royal Oak, Audemars Piguet also produced numerous models during the 1980s that explored goldwork and jewellery craftsmanship from a different perspective. Here, the case, dial, hands, and bracelet are conceived as a unified form, blurring the boundary between watchmaking and jewellery. The consistent gold tones throughout lend the watch the richness of solid gold while maintaining a composed appearance.
