OMEGA Two Tone Dial Ref.2792-1SC

COMMENT

COMMENT

The OMEGA Ref.2792-1SC is a refined classic model with the decorative character typical of the 1950s. The dial features a two-tone finish, with different treatments applied to the center and outer sections, creating shifting contrast and a sense of depth depending on the angle of the light. Arabic numerals are placed at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, while the remaining hours are marked by dimensional wedge-shaped indexes. The dauphine hands and central seconds hand are well balanced with the dial, giving the watch the elegant character associated with Omega of the 1950s. The case is fitted with tapered lugs, creating a clean impression while retaining a classical presence.

The case shows minor scratches from use, but the lug lines and the shape around the bezel remain well preserved. The flowing form of the tapered lugs is still clearly visible, reflecting the quality of the case design from the period. The two-tone dial shows natural aging, while retaining a strong contrast between the center and outer sections. The Arabic numerals, wedge-shaped indexes, and hands are all in good condition, with a warm tone that harmonizes well with the overall dial. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

The appeal of the Ref.2792-1SC lies in the way it brings together period decoration and refined balance within a modestly sized case. The combination of a two-tone dial, Arabic numerals, wedge-shaped indexes, and dauphine hands feels classical and pairs beautifully with the tapered-lug case. It is a watch that offers the tasteful charm of 1950s Omega without feeling overly ornate.
