ROLEX GMT-MASTER Ref.1675 MK0.5 Fuchsia Bezel

COMMENT

1967年製のGMTマスター1675は、マットダイヤル初期の製品です。ROLEXのEの中央横線が長いことが特徴的なダイヤルで、通称ロングEと呼ばれています。MK0から打って変わり、MK0.5は王冠ロゴがスタイリッシュなものへ一新されます。トリチウムルミナスに特徴があり、こちらはミラーからマットダイアルに移行したばかりのもので、ミラー世代同様の光反応を示すパフィーなルムです。ベゼルはマットダイヤルの中でも初期に製造されたフクシアベゼルを装備しています。このレッド部分に見られるパープルカラーは、1675の歴史上でも異彩のカラーです。小さい三角のGMT針は当時のままの仕様です。ブレスレットは1968年のリベットブレス7206を装備しています。

ケースコンディションは素晴らしく、4本のラグのバランスが良いです。希少なベゼルは褪色が少なく、しっかりと残っています。製造から50年以上経過した現在、ここまで色味を残したフクシアベゼルは稀有です。ダイヤルはダメージがほとんど見られず、高評価です。唯一、6時のルミナスにわずかな欠けが見られますが、余計な経年変化がなくほとんど気になりません。針は若干エイジングが進み、くすみがみられますがルミナスはベージュに焼けた良いエイジングです。ブレスは年式のわりに良いもので、まだまだ実用でお使いいただけます。弊社にて分解掃除をしました。精度はかなり良く、49時間を超えるパワーリザーブを確認しております。ビデオを掲載しています。

過渡期の製品でレアなディテールを有した個体です。製造期間もごく短く、状態の良いフクシアベゼルを装備した個体はまず見かけません。プライス以上の価値を秘めたお品です。

ロレックスがパン・アメリカン航空の国際線パイロットのために開発したGMTマスターは、異なる場所の時刻を把握できる機能を備えたロレックス唯一のパイロットウォッチ。GMTマスターは、エクスプローラーやサブマリーナーほどの人気を獲得していなかったが、2007年のステイタス性を押し出したモデルチェンジを機に現行モデルを代表する人気スポーツモデルとなった。この人気が引き金となり、旧型、ヴィンテージモデルともに再注目され、特に鮮やかなカラーリングの2トーンベゼルに人気が集中しています。

The 1967 GMT Master 1675 is an early model featuring a matte dial. Its distinctive dial characteristic is the elongated central horizontal line of ROLEX's "E," referred to as the Long E. Transitioning from MK0, the MK0.5 showcases a sleek redesign of the crown logo. The tritium luminescence is noteworthy, displaying a puffy luminescence similar to the mirror generation, having recently shifted from the mirror to the matte dial. Equipped with an early-production Fuchsia bezel among the matte dial variations, the purple coloring in the red portion stands out as a unique feature in the history of the 1675. The small triangular GMT hand retains its original specification. It comes with a 1968 rivet bracelet, the 7206.

The case condition is excellent, displaying a well-balanced set of lugs. The rare Fuchsia bezel shows minimal fading, holding up remarkably well over 50 years since its production. Maintaining such color in a Fuchsia bezel after so many years is quite rare. The dial is in remarkable condition, with minimal damage, earning high praise. The only noticeable flaw is a slight chip in the luminescence at 6 o'clock, which is hardly distracting with almost no unnecessary aging. The hands exhibit some aging with a slight patina, but the beige hue of the luminescence adds a delightful touch. The bracelet, considering its age, is in good condition, offering practical use for a long time. Fully serviced by our company, it demonstrates impressive accuracy, with a power reserve exceeding 49 hours. A video is provided for your reference.

This piece is a transitional model with rare details. With a short production period, specimens equipped with a well-preserved Fuchsia bezel are seldom seen. It holds value beyond its price, making it a truly special item.

Developed by Rolex for international pilots of Pan American Airways, the GMT Master is Rolex's only pilot watch equipped with the functionality to track time in different locations. While the GMT Master did not gain popularity on par with models like the Explorer or Submariner, a model change in 2007 emphasizing its status propelled it to become a popular sports model representative of current models. This popularity has triggered a renewed interest in both vintage and older models, with a particular focus on the vibrant two-tone bezels.
