クッション型ケースのIWC。角型のケースは約40mmでインパクトのある希少なモデル、腕に乗せた時の存在感は抜群です。ケースのインパクトが強い70年代デザインの時計は野暮ったい印象になりがちですが、こちらのモデルはIWCらしいティピカルなダイヤルを搭載しており、デザインに均衡を持たせています。

ダイヤルはパープルブルーのサンレイ。外周にはパールドロップのミニッツが位置します。凹状のバーインデックスは、針と同様にセンターに鏡面仕上げとホワイトを配しています。スクリューバック構造、お魚リューズを装備しており当時は防水モデルとしてリリースされていました。ムーブメントは秒針規制のハック機能がついたCal.8541B搭載です。IWC独自の自動巻機構＜ペラトン方式＞は巻上げ効率に優れており、50年近く経った今でもその精度を維持しています。日付を早送りする際には、夜の12時と11時半の間で針を往復させます。IWCが当時自社で開発した最終キャリバーで、完成された美しさが魅力。

ケースはエッジの立った美しいプロポーションで、クッションフォルムを存分に楽しめます。ダイヤルは気になるようなエイジングは見られません。パープルブルーのクールな質感は当時のままです。針やインデックスは完璧な艶感を残しています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

This IWC features a cushion-shaped case, approximately 40mm in size, making it a rare model with a striking presence when worn. Watches with bold 1970s designs often risk appearing cumbersome, but this model manages to strike a balance with its typical IWC dial design.

The dial boasts a purple-blue sunray finish, with pearl-drop minute markers positioned around the periphery. Concave bar indices, along with the hands, feature a center mirror finish and white accents. Equipped with a screw-back structure and a fish crown, it was released as a waterproof model at the time. It houses the Cal.8541B movement with a hacking function for the seconds hand regulation. IWC's unique automatic winding mechanism, the Pellaton system, boasts excellent winding efficiency, maintaining its accuracy even after nearly 50 years. When fast-forwarding the date, the hands oscillate between 12 o'clock and 11:30. This movement represents the final caliber developed by IWC at the time, showcasing its perfected beauty.

The case exhibits beautifully defined proportions, allowing you to fully appreciate its cushion form. The dial shows no significant signs of aging, retaining its cool purple-blue hue. The hands and indices retain a perfect sheen. It has been disassembled and cleaned by our experts.
