ROLEX SEMI BUBBLE BACK Ref.6284

COMMENT

HIGHLIGHT

Explorer Honeycomb Dial,   1955's Expansion Bracelet,

COMMENT

This is the final model of the "Semi-Bubble" known as the last iteration of the Bubble Back series. The dial features a white guilloché pattern with a matte texture, showcasing a sporty design with the 3.6.9 Explorer layout. The centrally placed wedge indices create a balanced and powerful aesthetic. The presence of the Rolex logo in scripted form, along with the blue steel seconds hand, adds a vintage touch. While the case size may seem small at 34.0mm, the thickness of the Bubble Back gives it a substantial presence on the wrist. The watch is equipped with a patent-signifying plus crown and a rare Rolex genuine expansion bracelet from 1955.

Despite the common occurrence of heavily worn-out Bubble Backs, this particular piece retains well-defined lugs and has excellent proportions. It exhibits no significant damage and is highly rated. The dial is in excellent condition, showcasing a vibrant and fresh feel with its high-tone white color. The hands and indices sparkle beautifully. The watch has been disassembled and cleaned by our shop, and it comes with a one-year operational guarantee.

This watch features a guilloché dial typical of the 1950s, combined with the Semi-Bubble case, making it a rare find in such excellent condition. As a transitional product from the final phase of the Semi-Bubble, it reflects the evolution of automatic watches during this period. Enjoy the vintage charm and sporty design packed into this mechanical timepiece from approximately 70 years ago.
