1938年に製造されたアールデコなオメガ。ファンシーブルホーンラグを備えた主張の強いケースデザインはスカラベと呼ばれています。ジャンボサイズなことで、より主調を感じます。ダイヤルはブラック×グレーのツートン。Ωロゴやインデックス、ミニッツトラックはゴールドギルトを採用しています。このビッグスカラベでセンターセコンドは数少ないです。

ケースはオリジナルのフォルムをよく残し、良いプロポーションをしています。スカラベラグのヘアラインと鏡面の切り替えは当時のままを残しています。ダイヤルはパーフェクトです。ブラックのミラー、グレーのきめ細やかなヘアラインの質感は完全に当時のままを残しています。光にかざすと油膜のような虹彩が確認できます。針のコンディションが素晴らしく、鏡面仕上げを程度よく残しています。弊社にて分解掃除済みで、パワーリザーブ43時間を確認しています。

世界恐慌が終わり、第二次世界大戦までのほんの数年の間に制作されたこの美しく珍しい作品は、この時代のモダニズムの美学を捉えています。ジャンボサイズで、希少なステイブライト製。30mm前後が主流であった当時の時計と比べ勘案すると、際立った作品であったことでしょう。1930年代の特別な時計がミントなコンディションで残っている、奇跡のような個体です。

This Art Deco Omega, manufactured in 1938, boasts a distinctive case design with fancy horn lugs known as the "Scarab." Its bold design and jumbo size make a strong statement. The dial features a black and gray two-tone scheme, with the Ω logo, indices, and minute track adopting gold gilt. The center seconds function on this Big Scarab is a rare feature.

The case retains its original form well, displaying excellent proportions. The alternating hairline and mirror finishes on the Scarab lugs remain true to the period. The dial is in perfect condition, preserving the texture of black mirror and finely lined gray just as it was in its original state. When exposed to light, a rainbow-like iridescence, resembling an oil film, can be observed. The condition of the hands is superb, with a well-preserved mirror finish. Having undergone disassembly and cleaning by our company, the power reserve has been confirmed at 43 hours.

Crafted in the few years between the end of the Great Depression and the onset of World War II, this beautifully rare piece captures the aesthetics of Modernism during this era. As a jumbo-sized watch, especially considering the prevalent 30mm size of watches during that time, it stands out as an exceptional piece. This 1930s special timepiece, preserved in mint condition, is a miraculous find.
