クッションケースのトップタイム。防水ケースでスクリューバックにラウンドプッシャーと人気のディテールです。ダイヤルはシルバーのサンバースト。ダイヤルバリエーションがありますが、シンプルなパンダダイヤルです。バーハンドは特徴的なオレンジペイント。一目で読時しやすいよう計算されています。外周にはタキメーターと、脈拍を計測するパルスメーターを採用しています。

搭載Cal.7730はカム式クロノグラフの基礎的なムーブと言えるでしょう。元々はVenus社の188をValjoux社が継承して作っているもので、ストップレバーを搭載した7733や日付付き7734など、多くのバリエーションが開発されています。60年代後半から70年代の多くのメーカーで採用されていました。現行品で多くのメーカーが使用しているETA社の自動巻クロノグラフ7750の元になっていると言っても過言ではありません。

ケースは痩せの感じられない素晴らしいプロポーション。若干の保管に伴う擦れ傷が見られますが、残っていることがむしろ高評価です。ダイヤルはミントコンディションです。針、インデックスに経年変化は一切ありません。弊社にて分解掃除済みのため、調子良くお使いいただけます。クロノファンクションも好調な作動を確認しています。

トップタイムは当時、ブライトリングが新たに若者へ向けて製造したラインでした。本質的にはスポーツウォッチであるにも関わらず、その「大胆な新しいライン」、「自由なデザイン」のおかげで、継続的な人気を獲得しました。測定を必要とする専門家ではないが、映画「ジェームズ・ボンド：サンダーボール」に出演したブライトリングを着用するショーン・コネリーに憧れた若者へ。当時の憧れとなった人気機種が、グッドコンディションで残った資料的価値を持つ一品です。

The Top Time with a cushion case features a waterproof case with a screw-back and round pushers, making it a popular choice among enthusiasts. The dial is a silver sunburst variant, and among the dial variations, the simple panda dial is always sought after. The baton hands have a distinctive orange paint, ensuring easy readability at a glance. The outer edge incorporates a tachymeter and a pulsometer for measuring heart rate.

The Caliber 7730 movement is considered a foundational cam-operated chronograph movement. Originating from Venus' 188, Valjoux continued its production, creating various variations like the 7733 with a stop lever and the date-equipped 7734. It was widely adopted by many manufacturers from the late 1960s to the 1970s and is considered the precursor to the ETA automatic chronograph 7750, used by many brands today.

The case maintains a fantastic proportion without any noticeable thinning. Some minor scratches due to storage are present but are rather praised for their authenticity. The dial is in mint condition, and there is no aging on the hands or indices. The watch has been disassembled and cleaned by our team, ensuring it operates smoothly. The chronograph function has also been confirmed to work well.

The Top Time was introduced by Breitling as a line targeted towards the youth, offering a bold and new design. Despite being fundamentally a sports watch, its "bold new line" and "free design" contributed to its sustained popularity. It became a symbol of aspiration for young people who admired Sean Connery wearing a Breitling in the movie "James Bond: Thunderball," even though they were not professionals requiring precise measurements. This vintage model, representing the admiration of that era, remains a valuable item with its well-preserved condition.
