インナーベゼルのイエローが特徴的なRef.166.066。ビッグイエローの愛称で独自の人気を博しているシーマスターです。 Cラインのケースは膨らみのある特徴的なラインを描いています。ケースメーカーはスーパーコンプレッサーなど防水性に優れたケースを開発していたEPSA（Ervin Piquerez SA）製。ムーブメントを浮かすIWCヨットクラブと同じケース構造をしており、耐衝撃性が図られています。上面は放射状にヘアラインを施し、ベゼルは幅狭のフラットです。ダイアルはシルバーのリネンダイアル。麻生地のような細かいテクスチャがより光を複雑に反射します。インデックスはセンターにブラックを配したもので、読時性能に優れています。

ケースは小さな使用傷こそ見られますが、オリジナルプロポーションを保っており、エッジが立ちパリッとしています。イエローのインナーベゼルは、純正ですが過去に修復された形跡が見られます。リネンダイヤルはミントです。ダメージやエイジングがなく、高級感があります。針やアプライドのインデックスは大変状態が良く、50年間の経年を感じさせません。弊社にて分解掃除済みで、48時間以上のパワーリザーブを確認しています。

Cal.565は日付の早送りが搭載され、オメガの中でも最も円熟した時代に作られたキャリバー。安定した作動が売りで、機械の仕上げも非常に美しい。ビッグイエローは1971年にはCal.1002を積んだRef.166.092に取って代わるため、166.066は製造期間の短いレアな型番となります。

The distinctive feature of Ref.166.066 is its yellow inner bezel, earning it the nickname "Big Yellow" and garnering unique popularity in the Seamaster lineup. The C-shaped case boasts a distinctive contour with a pronounced line. Manufactured by EPSA (Ervin Piquerez SA), known for developing cases with superior waterproofing like the Super Compressor, the case structure mirrors that of the IWC Yacht Club, ensuring shock resistance by floating the movement. The top surface features a radial hairline finish, and the narrow flat bezel complements the design. The dial is a silver linen dial with a fine texture resembling linen fabric, reflecting light in a complex manner. The center-indexed markers, accented with black, enhance readability.

While the case exhibits minor signs of use, it retains its original proportions with sharp edges. The yellow inner bezel is authentic, but there are traces of past restoration. The linen dial is in mint condition, displaying no damage or aging, exuding a sense of luxury. The hands and applied indices are in excellent condition, showing no signs of the 50 years that have passed. The watch has been disassembled, cleaned, and confirmed to have a power reserve of over 48 hours.

The Caliber 565, equipped with a quickset date function, belongs to one of the most mature periods in Omega's history. Known for its stable operation and beautifully finished mechanics, it represents a pinnacle in Omega's watchmaking. The Big Yellow model was succeeded by Ref.166.092, which housed Cal.1002 in 1971, making Ref.166.066 a rare model with a short production period.
