Ref.1018はビッグオイスターでノンデイトパーペチュアル。ダイヤルはケースやブレスレットとの統一感のあるメタリックなグレーのサンレイ。Ref.1018はダイヤルのデザインバリエーションが少なく独特な意匠です。ショートインデックスと、3.6.9のロングインデックスが良い対比で、ダイヤルが大きく感じられます。ロレックス純正巻きブレスレットを装備しています。

Cal.1570はクロノメーター仕様のムーブメント。1960年代半ばから1980年代後半までの長期間に渡って製造され、ロレックス社製ムーブメントの中でも、精度と耐久性のバランスが取れた傑作ムーブメントとして、高い評価を獲得しています。デイトジャストより一回り小ぶりなケースが腕なじみの良いモデルです。メンテナンスに関しても当店でも自信を持ってお付き合いさせて頂ける時計です。

ケースは目立った傷や打痕が見られず、良好なプロポーションを保っています。ラグが長く、迫力があります。ダイヤルはグッドコンディションです。経年劣化は見られず、グレーの色味は当時のままです。厳正に判断しますと、5時から6時の外周にかけてカラーダイヤル特有の剥がれが確認できますが、肉眼ではさほど気になりません。針には若干のエイジングが確認できますが、インデックスは良好なコンディションを保っており、どちらも輝きを放ちます。弊社にて分解掃除済みで、48時間以上のパワーリザーブを確認しています。

自動巻きノンデイトの中で、36mmサイズの同系統は、1960年前後で廃盤となったRef.5504 ビックエアキングと、それ以降はこちらの Ref.1018、そしてRef.1016エクスプローラー1です。スポーティーなサイズで迫力満点。製造数が少なく入荷は非常に稀です。ダイヤルの色味をケースと同系色にすることで、より洗練されスポーティに徹しています。一見シンプルなモデルですが、希少なディテールと魅力に溢れた逸品になります。

The Ref.1018 is a Big Oyster, a non-date perpetual model. Its dial features a metallic gray sunray finish, providing a cohesive look with the case and bracelet. The design of the Ref.1018 dial is distinctive, characterized by limited variations. The short indices, along with the 3, 6, 9 long indices, create a pleasing contrast, making the dial appear larger. It is equipped with an authentic Rolex Oyster bracelet.

The Cal.1570 is a chronometer-certified movement. Produced from the mid-1960s to the late 1980s, it stands as a masterpiece movement from Rolex, balancing precision and durability. With a slightly smaller case compared to the Datejust, it's a comfortably-sized model. In terms of maintenance, it is a watch we can confidently handle at our store.

The case is in excellent condition, showing no noticeable scratches or dents, maintaining a good proportion. The lugs are long and imposing. The dial is in good condition, showing no signs of aging, and the gray color remains as vibrant as it was originally. Upon close inspection, there is a minor color deterioration characteristic of color dials, particularly around 5 to 6 o'clock on the outer periphery, but it is not overly conspicuous to the naked eye. There is slight aging on the hands, but the indices are in excellent condition, radiating a brilliant shine. It has been disassembled and cleaned at our company, confirming a power reserve of over 48 hours.

Among the automatic non-date models, the 36mm size within this lineage includes the Ref.5504 Big Air-King, discontinued around 1960, followed by the Ref.1018, and the Ref.1016 Explorer 1. With its sporty size and powerful presence, this model is rare due to its low production numbers. The coordination of the dial color with the case enhances its sophistication, presenting a refined and sporty appeal. While it may seem simple at first glance, it is a rare piece filled with distinctive details and charm.
