ロレックスの旗艦機種であるデイトジャスト。中でもRef.1603はステンレススチール製のエングレーブドベゼルを装備したモデルですが、最初期にのみ見られる通称「バンブーベゼル」がついた希少な個体です。前身機種であるRef.6605と比べると、1603のデザインを模索していた過渡期にのみ製造されたものであることがわかります。ダイヤルはシルバーのサンレイ。クサビインデックスとドーフィンハンドの組み合わせは、オールドロレックスならではの魅力を放っています。ロレックス純正のフォールデッドジュビリーブレスレット、クラスプデイト60/4、エンドリンク55を装備しています。

ケースは目立った傷や打痕が見られず、良好なコンディションを保っています。36mmのケースを存分に堪能できるプロポーションです。バンブーベゼルは小さな打痕こそ見られますが、溝を均一に残しています。ダイヤルは焼けの少ないシルバーが美しく、サンレイのテクスチャが楽しめます。針とインデックス、アプライドの王冠ロゴはフラットな上面に鏡面仕上げにエイジングが確認できます。ドットルミナスは形に崩れが見られず、ベージュカラーが素晴らしいです。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

The Datejust, Rolex’s flagship model, is celebrated worldwide, and among its iterations, the Ref. 1603 with an engraved stainless steel bezel stands out. This particular example, featuring the rare “Bamboo Bezel,” is only found on some of the earliest models, making it highly collectible. The Ref. 1603 emerged in a transitional period when Rolex was refining its design from the earlier Ref. 6605. The silver sunburst dial, paired with wedge indices and dauphine hands, embodies the unique charm of vintage Rolex. It also comes with an original Rolex folded Jubilee bracelet, with clasp date 60/4 and end links 55.

The case is in excellent condition, with no significant marks or dings, allowing the full proportions of the 36mm case to be appreciated. Although the bamboo bezel shows a few minor nicks, its grooves remain uniformly sharp. The silver dial has minimal patina, preserving its beautiful sunburst texture, while the hands, indices, and applied crown logo show light aging on their polished surfaces. The dot lume remains intact, with an appealing beige hue. This piece has been fully disassembled and serviced in-house.

An early Datejust in outstanding condition, this watch stands out with its rare bamboo bezel, which is believed to have been produced for less than two years. An ideal choice for those looking for a timeless classic with a hint of individuality.
