Among vintage Datejust models, this Ref.1601 is particularly rare, featuring a solid 18k yellow gold case. Like the Day-Date, the precious metal version of the Ref.1601 has a more prominent lug design without lug holes, enhancing its refined dress style. The dial is a striking black mirror finish, with the lettering and minute markers etched in relief, one of the most sought-after configurations.

The dial maintains its glossy sheen perfectly, giving the watch a commanding presence. Under high magnification, slight texturing is visible, but to the naked eye, the dial appears near mint.
