30mmケースのサイズ感が、別格のバランスの良さを誇るスピードキングです。ダイヤルはマットホワイトで、針は夜光塗料を載せたアルファハンド、クラシックなブルースチールの秒針はテールドット仕様で、独特の魅力があります。インデックスはエンボス仕上げ。1950年代では珍しい、シルバーカラーで、3, 6, 9, 12時にはアラビア数字、その他の時間帯にはクサビ形が使われています。搭載Cal.710は手巻の基礎的なムーブメントです。ロレックスのアイデンティティーであるスーパーバランステンプを備え、きちんとしたメンテナンスを行えば現代でも実用充分の機械です。
