ヴィンテージロレックスにおいて、プレシジョンラインは評価が控えめな印象がありますが、本機を見る限り、その見方は明らかに偏っています。オイスターケースながら自動巻ではなく手巻機構を採用することで、全体を薄型に設計。ドーム型の風防と組み合わさることで、現代のロレックスには見られないクラシカルな雰囲気を漂わせています。ベゼルはエンジンターンド仕上げで、適度な主張を持ちつつ、全体の落ち着いた構成にアクセントを与えています。サンバースト仕上げのシルバーダイヤルに、バーインデックスとペンシルハンドという伝統的な意匠を組み合わせ、フラットな王冠ロゴがさりげないスポーティさを加味しています。

ケースは均整が取れており、エッジの立ち方や面の張りなど、プロポーションが非常に良好です。ダイヤルはミントコンディションを保ち、目立つ経年劣化は見られません。針・インデックスのメッキはしっかりと残っており、光を受けて美しく反射します。半球状の夜光塗料も崩れず残されており、焼けのない点も高く評価できます。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

搭載されるキャリバー1225は、サイズこそ控えめながら、実用性と信頼性において高い完成度を誇ります。ゼンマイトルクが軽く、リューズの操作性にも優れており、巻き上げの感触は非常に滑らかです。日常使いに適した落ち着いた佇まいながら、品質に妥協はなく、ロレックスが手巻き機構においても精度と操作性を追求していたことを示す好例といえるでしょう。気負わず着けられる一本として、日々の生活に自然に溶け込む魅力を備えています。

COMMENT

Within the vintage Rolex landscape, the Precision line is often underappreciated—but this particular piece clearly challenges that perception. While housed in a classic Oyster case, it forgoes an automatic movement in favor of a hand-wound mechanism, allowing for a thinner profile. Combined with the domed acrylic crystal, the overall silhouette radiates a vintage elegance rarely found in modern Rolex models. The engine-turned bezel provides a subtle contrast and adds a refined accent to the otherwise understated configuration. A silver sunburst dial, pencil hands, and bar indexes form a timeless aesthetic, while the flat crown logo introduces just a hint of sportiness.

The case is exceptionally well-proportioned, with sharp edges and tensioned planes that contribute to its refined balance. The dial remains in mint condition with no noticeable aging. Both the hands and indexes retain their plating, offering brilliant reflections under light. The domed luminous plots are intact, without signs of darkening—a rare and commendable preservation.
