半艶のブラックに浮かぶ段差状の陰影、立体的なステップダイヤルとツイストラグの組み合わせは、ムーンウォッチならではの意匠。ケースはスイスの名工ユゲニン・フレール（HF）の製造。キャタピラーブレスレットを彷彿とさる、フラットリンクブレスレットは市場で見かけることが少ないです。エンドリンク47を装備しています。

酷使されがちな145.022の中で、トップコンディションを誇っています。ケースは使用感が抑えられており、ツイストラグの複雑な造形が鮮明に残る優れた状態です。ベゼルはスピードマスターによく見られる印字の摩耗が少なく、視認性とオリジナリティを兼ね備えています。ダイヤルは光の角度によって表情を変えるステップ構造がはっきりと残り、インデックスのプリントや針のホワイトは美しく保たれています。ルミナスは自然にエイジングしており、均一な色合いで時計全体の調和を高めています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

今でこそ「Speedmasterイコール宇宙」という図式がすぐに浮かび上がりますが、当時は宇宙とは全く関係のない、純粋なモータースポーツ用の時計として誕生。また、スピードマスターは、ダイヤルではなく外周ベゼルにタキメーターを表示した世界で初めての時計と言われています。1959年、スピードマスターはマイナーチェンジをします。ベゼルがアルミニウムの黒色ベースとなり、針の形状がアロー針からアルファ針に変更されたことで、より視認性が高まっています。NASAは宇宙での過酷な環境にも耐えうる丈夫なクロノグラフを探しており、名だたる強豪に勝ったスピードマスターを公式時計として採用。その後1969年人類初の月面着陸の際、スピードマスターを着用していたことは有名なお話。

The interplay of light and shadow on the semi-gloss black step dial, paired with the sculptural twist lugs, defines the quintessential design language of the Moonwatch. This example is housed in a case produced by the renowned Swiss case maker Huguenin Frères (HF). It is fitted with a flat link bracelet that evokes the look of tank treads—an uncommon sight in the market today—complete with end links numbered 47.

Among the many Ref. 145.022 watches that have seen heavy use over the decades, this piece stands out for its exceptional preservation. The case retains crisp lines with minimal signs of wear, and the complex profile of the twisted lugs remains well-defined. The tachymeter bezel, often prone to fading, shows minimal text loss, maintaining both legibility and originality. The step dial retains strong relief and exhibits dynamic shadows depending on the light angle, while the printed hour markers and hands remain bright and clean. The luminous elements have aged evenly, enhancing the visual harmony of the watch. The movement has been fully overhauled by our workshop.

Over its 50-year production history, the Speedmaster underwent numerous incremental updates, becoming a canvas of evolving design and engineering refinement. After the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969, the watch earned its enduring moniker—the Moonwatch—and became a cultural icon. While Ref. 145.022 was produced over a relatively long span, the early examples featuring the step dial were only manufactured for four years, making them significantly rarer. With its high degree of completeness and wearability, this reference continues to be highly regarded by both collectors and enthusiasts alike.

BRAND

While the Speedmaster is now synonymous with space exploration, it was originally designed in 1957 as a pure motorsport chronograph, completely unrelated to NASA or outer space. Notably, it was the first watch to feature a tachymeter scale on the bezel rather than on the dial. In 1959, it underwent a significant update—switching to a black aluminum bezel and refining the hand design from arrow to alpha, improving legibility. Later, when NASA was seeking a chronograph capable of withstanding the rigors of space, the Speedmaster outperformed several competitors and was officially adopted as the agency’s timepiece. Its presence on the wrist of astronauts during the 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing has since become one of the most iconic moments in horological history.
