The Rally is a chronograph designed specifically for racing drivers and is regarded as a classic, with examples also produced by French makers such as Le Jour. This piece is a first-generation model from the mid-1960s, housed in a stainless steel case and fitted with a black tachymeter bezel. The crown combines water resistance with ease of operation, embodying the functional beauty of its era. Round chronograph pushers and a screw-back construction further emphasize its robust waterproof specification.
Its classic racing dial is distinguished by twin red stripes, paired with the highly regarded Valjoux 7733 movement, a combination that ensures both reliability and collector appeal. It features a 30-minute counter, and this example comes with its original leather strap and buckle.
The fact that the original strap remains in such excellent condition suggests that the watch has seen little to no use. The case is well-proportioned overall, with smooth, flowing lines from the lugs to the case sides. Although bezels are typically prone to wear, this one shows no paint loss and remains in great shape. The dial is clean, with crisp printing and well-preserved luminous material. This watch retains rare original components such as the bezel and crown, faithfully maintaining its factory configuration. It has been disassembled and cleaned by our workshop.
