COMMENT

1950年前後に製造されたレマニア Ref.233です。中心部を温かみのあるグレーブラウン、アラビア数字を配した中周部を艶のあるブラック、外周をグレーで切り替えたブルズアイダイヤルが特徴。夜光塗料で描かれたオールアラビアインデックスに、同じく夜光を備えた鋭いローザンジュハンドを組み合わせています。6時位置のスモールセコンドには同心円状の細かな溝を施し、外周のホワイトプリントとともに視認性の高いスポーティーな表情にまとめています。ケース径は約33mmです。

ケースには使用に伴う細かな傷が見られますが、ベゼルの段差やケースからラグへと続く輪郭は良好に保たれています。ダイヤルは目立つ染みや変色がなく、ブラック部分の艶と中央部分の落ち着いた色調が鮮明に残る良好なコンディションです。アラビア数字の夜光は均一なベージュカラーへ変化し、針の夜光にも自然な経年の風合いが見られます。ねじ込み式ケースバックには「WATERPROOF」「ANTIMAGNETIC」「INCABLOC」の刻印が明瞭に残り、内側にはリファレンスを示す「233」が確認できます。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

ムーブメントはレマニア自社製の手巻Cal.3000を搭載。17石、毎時18,000振動のスモールセコンドキャリバーで、耐震装置のインカブロックと巻き上げヒゲを備えています。シルバーカラーの受けは面積を広く取った安定感のある設計で、歯車には繊細な放射状の仕上げが施されています。クロノグラフムーブメントの名門として知られるレマニアですが、シンプルな手巻きモデルにも同社の設計力と堅実な仕上げを確認できます。ブルズアイダイヤル、防水構造のスチールケース、自社製ムーブメントを組み合わせた、当時のスポーツウォッチらしい一本です。

Lemania Ref. 233, produced around 1950. Its distinctive bullseye dial combines a warm grey-brown center, a glossy black middle section with Arabic numerals, and a grey outer track. The fully lumed Arabic numerals are paired with sharply pointed, luminous lozenge hands. Fine concentric grooves decorate the small-seconds register at 6 o’clock, while crisp white printing along the perimeter contributes to the dial’s legible, sporting appearance. The case measures approximately 33mm in diameter.

The case shows fine scratches from use, though the stepped bezel and the contours flowing from the case into the lugs remain well preserved. The dial is in good condition, with no noticeable staining or discoloration. The gloss of the black section and the subdued tone of the center remain clearly defined. The lume on the Arabic numerals has aged evenly to a beige color, while the hands display a natural patina. The screw-down case back retains crisp “WATERPROOF,” “ANTIMAGNETIC,” and “INCABLOC” engravings, with the reference number “233” visible inside. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

Inside is Lemania’s in-house manually wound Cal. 3000, a 17-jewel small-seconds movement operating at 18,000 vibrations per hour. It is equipped with Incabloc shock protection and a Breguet overcoil. The broad, silver-colored bridges provide a robust and balanced construction, while the wheels are finished with fine radial graining. Although Lemania is best known for its chronograph movements, this straightforward hand-wound calibre also demonstrates the company’s capable engineering and sound finishing. With its bullseye dial, water-resistant steel case, and in-house movement, this is a fine example of a sporting wristwatch from the period.
