ブラックマットダイアルが珍しいシーマスターデビル。1963年にデビューしたデビルはワンピースケースの採用した、シーマスターからの派生モデルでした。シーマスターに比べると細くて繊細なバー状のラグは、先端で内側に向けて切り落とされ上品さをプラスしています。ケースの縁ギリギリまで文字盤面積が大きく、実際のサイズより時計が大きく見えます。インデックスやペンシルハンドの針は、細めで繊細な印象を受けます。アプライドのオメガロゴを除き、レターは全て下地出しです。デビルによく見られるメッキのような金属光沢を見せる下地ではなく、マットな下地です。当時のシーマスター300などダイバーズモデルに採用された、視認性に長けたレターです。ブレスレットは、珍しい円柱が連なる五連ブレスです。見た目のユニークさだけでなく、快適なつけ心地が魅力です。

ケースはオリジナルのシェイプをよく残した、良好な状態です。傷が少なく、ラグの多面カットのエッジが効いています。ダイアルは入水の形跡が見られないミントコンディション。色合いに変化は見られず、発売当初のままを残しています。針やインデックスはルーペで覗くと僅かにエイジングが確認できます。肉眼だと気にならないもので、鏡面が光をきらりと反射します。半球状のルミナスは、程よい焼けで現存しています。

抜き文字のマットデビルは当店では初の取り扱いです。ノンデイトで大変珍しい一品かと思います。

＜DE VILLE＞はフランス語で「街角」を意味します。その名に相応しく、都会的でタウンユースのしやすい小洒落た雰囲気を持っています。コンステレーションとは違った、薄型だがドレスウォッチになり過ぎない、分別をわきまえた感じの良さが魅力的な1本です。ドレッシーなモデルですが、スポーツモデルに見られる製法のダイアルを採用しており、機能面にも優れた一品です。

The rare black matte dial sets this Seamaster DeVille apart. Introduced in 1963, the DeVille was born as a derivative of the Seamaster, featuring a one-piece case. The slender and delicate bar-shaped lugs, when compared to the Seamaster, are cut inward at the tips, adding an elegant touch. The dial extends to the edge of the case, creating an illusion of a larger watch than its actual size. The indexes and pencil-style hands are slender, giving an impression of delicacy. Except for the applied Omega logo, all the letters are recessed. The dial has a matte base, unlike the metallic sheen seen in some DeVille models, offering excellent visibility, similar to the divers' models like the Seamaster 300 from the same era. The bracelet is a unique five-link design with cylindrical elements, not only visually distinctive but also providing comfortable wear.

The case has maintained its original shape well, showing few scratches, and the multi-faceted cut edges of the lugs add a sharpness. The dial is in a mint condition with no signs of past water entry. The color remains unchanged, preserving its appearance from the initial release. The hands and indexes exhibit slight aging when examined under a loupe, but it's not noticeable to the naked eye, and the mirrored surface reflects light brilliantly. The semi-spherical luminous material has aged gracefully.

This DeVille with embossed letters is the first of its kind in our store and is exceptionally rare, especially being a non-date model.

"DE VILLE" translates to "town" in French. True to its name, it exudes a sophisticated urban vibe that's easy to wear in various city settings. It strikes a balance between being thin and not too dressy, displaying a refined charm. Although a dressy model, it adopts a dial construction seen in sports models, offering excellent functionality.

It is powered by the durable and beautifully finished Cal.562 movement with red gold plating. The <500 series caliber> has garnered popularity and high praise. Post the 550 series, the calibers evolved to become streamlined and smarter, reducing unnecessary elements, resulting in a more stylish face. The practicality for daily use is a notable feature.
