COMMENT

日常使いし易い自動巻モデルのスピードマスター。手ごろな価格のスピードマスターとして近年人気を博しています。風防は後期モデルに見られるガラスを採用しています。ダイヤルはホワイトのギョシェ。造り込みの素晴らしさに加え、6時位置は12時間積算計、9時位置はスモールセコンド、12時位置は30分積算計と多機能です。ブラックベゼルはタキメータースケールでケースバックには立体レリーフのシーホースがあります。ムーブメントはバルジュー7750をベースとしたCal.1152を搭載しています。日付の早送りがついた実用性の高い機械です。ブレスレットははオメガ純正のRef.1563/850を装着しています。

ケースはサイドに若干の打痕が見受けられますが、鏡面仕上げは美しく光を反射させ、使用シーンを選ばないコンディションです。ダイヤルはミントコンディションです。プリントやルミナスの色味に変化は見られず、ダイヤルは生成色の美しいカラーリングを維持しています。弊社にて分解掃除済みで、パワーリザーブ50時間以上を確認しています。

今でこそ「Speedmasterイコール宇宙」という図式がすぐに浮かび上がりますが、当時は宇宙とは全く関係のない、純粋なモータースポーツ用の時計として誕生。また、スピードマスターは、ダイヤルではなく外周ベゼルにタキメーターを表示した世界で初めての時計と言われています。1959年、スピードマスターはマイナーチェンジをします。ベゼルがアルミニウムの黒色ベースとなり、針の形状がアロー針からアルファ針に変更されたことで、より視認性が高まっています。NASAは宇宙での過酷な環境にも耐えうる丈夫なクロノグラフを探しており、名だたる強豪に勝ったスピードマスターを公式時計として採用。その後1969年人類初の月面着陸の際、スピードマスターを着用していたことは有名な話。

A practical and affordable automatic model within the Speedmaster lineup, this timepiece has gained popularity as a reliable everyday watch. It features the later-model glass on the dial and a white guilloché pattern. Alongside the exquisite craftsmanship, its functionality includes a 12-hour totalizer at 6 o'clock, a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock, and a 30-minute totalizer at 12 o'clock. The black bezel hosts a tachymeter scale, and the case back exhibits a three-dimensional relief of the seahorse. Powering the watch is the Cal.1152, based on the Valjoux 7750, providing practicality with a quick date setting function. Fitted with the Omega genuine Ref.1563/850 bracelet.

The case displays minor marks on the side, yet the mirror finish reflects light beautifully, maintaining a versatile condition suitable for various occasions. The dial is in mint condition, with no changes in print or luminescent color, preserving the original and vibrant coloring. Having undergone disassembly and cleaning at our facility, it confirms a power reserve of over 50 hours.

This Speedmaster, with its 39mm chronograph, is user-friendly and doesn't interfere with shirt cuffs, making it a versatile companion for any occasion.

BRAND

While the equation "Speedmaster equals space" is now readily associated, it was initially born as a purely motorsports watch with no connection to space. The Speedmaster is recognized as the world's first watch to display a tachymeter on the outer bezel instead of the dial. In 1959, the Speedmaster underwent a minor change, transitioning to a black aluminum base for the bezel and changing the needle shape from arrow hands to alpha hands, enhancing visibility. NASA sought a robust chronograph capable of withstanding the harsh conditions of space, and the Speedmaster emerged victorious, becoming the official timepiece. The famous story of its use during the 1969 moon landing further solidified its iconic status.
