26.5
Introduced in the late 1920s, OMEGA’s 26.5 was one of the brand’s important early wristwatch calibers, built around a manually wound movement measuring approximately 26.5mm in diameter. It was progressively refined throughout the 1930s, with several generations including the 26.5 SOB, T1, T2, and T3, and remained in production over an extended period.
Watches fitted with the 26.5 are most often found in well-proportioned round cases with small-seconds displays, alongside details such as porcelain dials, two-tone finishes, and Arabic numerals characteristic of pre-war OMEGA. Positioned in the period leading toward the later 30mm calibers, the collection offers a clear view into the development of OMEGA’s early wristwatch production.
