GMT-MASTER

Introduced in 1955, the GMT-MASTER is one of Rolex’s defining sports models, developed for international airline pilots. By combining a 24-hour hand with a rotating bezel, it allowed the wearer to read multiple time zones and established a distinctive identity alongside the rapid expansion of commercial aviation.

Vintage GMT-MASTER watches reveal numerous period-specific differences, from the transition between glossy mirror and matte dials to variations in bezel colors and fading, dial printing, and luminous material.
