COMMENT

1967年製のGMTマスター1675は、マットダイアル初期の製品です。ROLEXのEの中央横線が長いことが特徴的なダイアルで、通称ロングEと呼ばれています。トリチウムルミナスにも特徴があり、こちらはミラーからマットダイアルに移行したばかりのもので、ミラー世代同様の光反応を示すパフィーなルムです。小さい三角のGMT針は当時のままの仕様です。ブレスレットは同世代のリベットブレス7206を装備しています。

ケースはやせをほとんど感じさせないもので、4本のラグのバランスが良いです。ダイアルコンディションが素晴らしく、最高評価です。ルミナスは欠損が見られず、黒ずみなどありません。4本の針は若干のくすみがあるものの、輝きを失っておりません。GMT針のルミナス中央に欠落が見られますが、本当に小さい穴ですので肉眼では気になりません。ブレスは年式のわりに良いもので、まだまだ実用でお使いいただけます。当店にてオーバーホールをしました。精度はかなり良く、49時間を超えるパワーリザーブを確認しております。

過渡期の製品でレアなディテールを有した個体です。製造期間もごく短いのであまり見かけません。状態が抜群ですので、 プライス以上の価値を秘めたお品です。

Cal.1570はクロノメーター仕様のムーブメント。1960年代半ばから1980年代後半までの長期間に渡って製造され、ロレックス社製ムーブメントの中でも、精度と耐久性のバランスが取れた傑作ムーブメントとして、高い評価を獲得しています。デイトジャストより一回り小ぶりなケースが腕なじみの良いモデルです。メンテナンスに関しても当店でも自信を持ってお付き合いさせて頂ける時計です。

ロレックスがパン・アメリカン航空の国際線パイロットのために開発したGMTマスターは、異なる場所の時刻を把握できる機能を備えたロレックス唯一のパイロットウォッチ。GMTマスターは、エクスプローラーやサブマリーナーほどの人気を獲得していなかったが、2007年のステイタス性を押し出したモデルチェンジを機に現行モデルを代表する人気スポーツモデルとなった。この人気が引き金となり、旧型、ヴィンテージモデルともに再注目され、特に鮮やかなカラーリングの2トーンベゼルに人気が集中しています。

COMMENT

The GMT Master 1675, manufactured in 1967, is an early model featuring a matte dial. A distinctive feature of this dial is the elongated central horizontal line in the "E" of ROLEX, commonly referred to as the "Long E." It also has characteristic tritium luminous material, transitioning from the glossy dial to the matte dial, exhibiting a puffy luminescence similar to the mirror generation. The small triangular GMT hand remains unchanged from the original specifications. It comes equipped with the same generation rivet bracelet, the 7206.

The case feels substantial without being bulky, with a well-balanced arrangement of the four lugs. The dial is in excellent condition, receiving top marks. There are no signs of luminous material loss or discoloration, and while the four hands show slight tarnishing, they still retain their shine. There is a minor absence of luminous material in the center of the GMT hand, but it's so small that it's barely noticeable to the naked eye. Considering its age, the bracelet is in good condition and still very much functional. It has undergone an overhaul in our shop and exhibits commendable accuracy, confirming a power reserve of over 49 hours.

This piece is a rare find with unique details from the transitional period. Its production span was quite short, making it relatively uncommon. Given its outstanding condition, it holds a value that surpasses its price.

The Cal.1570 movement is a chronometer-grade movement. Produced from the mid-1960s to the late 1980s, it has gained high praise for its balance of precision and durability among Rolex-manufactured movements. Featuring a slightly smaller case than the Datejust, it's a model that sits comfortably on the wrist and one that we confidently stand by for maintenance in our shop.

The GMT Master, developed by Rolex for international pilots of Pan American Airways, is Rolex's only pilot watch equipped with the ability to track time in different locations. While the GMT Master didn't initially gain as much popularity as the Explorer or Submariner, a model change emphasizing its status in 2007 propelled it to become a popular sports model representative of current models. This popularity has led to a resurgence of interest in both vintage and older models, particularly those featuring vibrant two-tone bezels.
