PIE PAN
Among the CONSTELLATION watches produced from the 1950s through the 1960s, dials with a faceted, stepped outer section became known as “PIE PAN” dials because of their distinctive shape. Their three-dimensional construction changes character with the light and has become one of the defining visual signatures of vintage CONSTELLATION watches.
PIE PAN examples appear in a wide variety of configurations, including crosshair dials, dauphine hands, and baton indexes, with the overall character varying significantly according to dial color, finishing, and case design. Combined with chronometer-rated movements and refined case architecture, they represent one of the most recognizable expressions of OMEGA watchmaking from the 1950s and 1960s.
