COMMENT

初代シーマスターの発売された1948年の自動巻モデルです。のちのシーマスターに通じるデザインの防水ケース。32.5mmのケースは大きすぎず小さすぎず、ちょうど良さを感じさせるサイズ感となっており、カチっとした造りの良さが印象的。ラグ付け根部分の段差のような処理はオメガならではの意匠。

内周がホワイト、外周がシャンパンという上品な区分けがなされたダイアルはこの年代のオメガ特有の仕様。ブラウンカラーのミニッツトラックは目盛りがくっきりと細かく刻まれ、赤い秒針が2.5ヘルツのリズムでそこを通過していきます。そのゆったりとした動きと光景は、我々にアンティークウオッチを所有することの意味を教えてくれる様です。

ムーブメントは「オメガ初の自動巻き」、cal.28.10（後のcal.350です）を搭載する歴史的なもの。この個性的なダイアルはこのムーブメント搭載モデル以外では使われることが少なく、興味深い1本です。

COMMENT

This is the automatic model of the first-generation Seamaster released in 1948, featuring a waterproof case design that foreshadows the later Seamaster models. The 32.5mm case strikes a perfect balance, not too large or too small, with a well-crafted and distinctive design, highlighted by the stepped treatment at the base of the lugs, a unique touch characteristic of Omega.

The dial, divided into an inner white section and an outer champagne section, is an elegant characteristic specific to Omega watches of this era. The brown minute track features finely engraved and clearly defined markers, while the red seconds hand moves smoothly at a frequency of 2.5 Hz. The leisurely motion and scene it creates seem to impart the meaning of owning an antique watch.

It houses the historic "Omega's first automatic movement," the cal.28.10 (later cal.350). This distinctive dial design is rarely seen in models with this movement, making it an intriguing piece.
