OMEGA ref.2791-6

COMMENT

From the early 1910s when wristwatches began to gain popularity, through the evolution from manual to automatic winding, and the subsequent decline of mechanical watches due to the development of quartz timepieces, the 1960s marked a peak for mechanical wristwatches. Omega, one of the three sacred treasures even in Japan during that era, represented a luxurious status symbol. Manufacturers competed fiercely to enhance precision, waterproofing, and durability, investing in cost and effort to excel in watchmaking.
