1935年に製造されたアールデコスタイルのオメガ。ファンシーブルホーンラグを備えた主張の強いケースデザインは「スカラベ」と呼ばれています。ジャンボサイズであることが、その存在感を一層際立たせています。ダイヤルはブラックギルトで、インデックスにはルミナスが下地の上にしっかりと植字されています。搭載されているのは、Cal.30以前の主力ムーブメントだったCal.26.5で、SOB表記があるこちらは前期型とされ、"Pre War"モデルに分類されます。

ケースはオリジナルのフォルムをよく保ち、優れたプロポーションを維持しています。スカラベラグのヘアラインと鏡面仕上げの切り替えは、当時のままの状態を残しています。ダイヤルはミラーの艶感こそ失われているものの、全体的に均一で軽度なエイジングが見られ、良好な状態を保っています。アラビアインデックスは経年により美しく変色し、ゴールドギルトのフェイスと絶妙に調和しています。針のコンディションも素晴らしく、鏡面仕上げが良好に保たれ、ルミナスは芳醇なベージュカラーを呈しています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

An Art Deco Omega from 1935, this watch features a striking design known as "Scarab," characterized by its bold, fancy bullhorn lugs. The jumbo-sized case further enhances its commanding presence. The dial is a black gilt with luminous indices precisely applied over a solid underlay, typical of this era. It houses the Cal.26.5, a prominent movement before the advent of the Cal.30. This particular model, marked with SOB, is considered an early version, classified as a "Pre War" model.

The case maintains its original form with excellent proportions. The transition between the hairline and mirror finishes on the Scarab lugs remains as it was when originally manufactured. Although the mirror finish on the dial has dulled slightly, it exhibits uniform, mild aging and remains in good condition. The Arabic numerals have aged beautifully, harmonizing with the gold-gilt dial. The hands are in excellent condition, with the mirror finish still vibrant, and the luminous material has aged to a rich beige tone. The watch has been fully serviced by our company, and its power reserve has been confirmed at 43 hours.

This timepiece is a rare and beautiful creation produced during the brief period between the end of the Great Depression and the onset of World War II, capturing the aesthetic of modernism from that era. The fact that a watch from the 1930s has survived in such good condition is nothing short of miraculous.
