COMMENT

1940年代頃にチェコスロバキア軍のパイロットに採用されていたロンジンの民生品です。1947年にチェコスロバキアの首都、ブラスチラバにある正規代理店「Weinstabl」社にて販売されました。

チェコ軍はロンジンの他に、エテルナ、レマニアから同様のラージクッションケースモデルを納入していました。3社共通の特徴としては、ステンレス製の大きなクッション型ケース、ブラックダイアル、ルミナスで植字されたアラビア数字インデックスです。ロンジンが他社と異なるところは、コインエッジの回転ポインターと、コブラハンドです。どちらもこの年式のミリタリーウォッチにみられる意匠です。ロンジンはケース径が他の2社に比べ一際大きく、海外では大きな亀を表す`Tartarugone`と呼ばれています。ロンジンのラージクッションの中では3世代目にあたるモデルです。ムーヴメントはチェコスロバキア政府の要請に従って開発された、耐衝撃性能の付いた名機15.68Zを搭載されています。アーカイブが付属します。

ケースはオリジナルのシェイプをよく残したプロポーションの良い個体です。ダメージは小傷のみで大きな打跡等は見当たりません。ラージクッションケースは市場では使い込まれているものが多く見られますが、裏蓋にスレがなく綺麗に残っています。ダイアルは均一に、ほのかにミラー特有のエイジングが確認できます。艶感を失いマットな質感へと変わっており、程良いヴィンテージ感をお楽しみいただけます。

このラージクッションを状態よく入手するのは、意外と難しいかと思います。エイジングの自然なコンディションです。大きめのサイズですが、厚みが抑えられているので着用感が良いです。スマートに大きな時計を着用されたい方へ、おすすめの一品です。

This Longines civilian model, produced around the 1940s, was adopted by Czechoslovakian Air Force pilots. It was sold in 1947 through the authorized dealer "Weinstabl" located in the capital of Czechoslovakia, Bratislava.

The Czech military also procured similar large cushion-case models from Eterna and Lemania. Shared features among the three brands include a stainless steel large cushion-shaped case, a black dial, and Arabic numeral indices with luminous material. Longines distinguished itself with a coin-edge rotating pointer and cobra hands, design elements typical of military watches from this era. The Longines model, characterized by a notably larger case diameter compared to the other two brands, is colloquially referred to as 'Tartarugone,' symbolizing a large turtle. This Longines large cushion model belongs to the third generation. It houses the renowned 15.68Z movement, developed with enhanced shock resistance, in response to the Czechoslovakian government's requirements. An archive is included.

The case maintains its original shape with well-preserved proportions. It shows minimal damage, with only small scratches, and no significant signs of impact. Large cushion cases in the market often exhibit considerable wear, making this well-preserved case particularly noteworthy. The case back is clean without scratches. The dial exhibits a uniform and subtly aged patina, transitioning from a glossy to a matte texture, offering a pleasing vintage appearance.

Finding a large cushion watch in such good condition can be unexpectedly challenging. The natural aging and vintage charm make it a unique timepiece. Despite its substantial size, the restrained thickness enhances the wearing comfort, making it an excellent choice for those who prefer a smart and substantial wristwatch.
