ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL DATE Ref.1500

COMMENT

COMMENT

Manufactured in 1966, this Oyster Perpetual Date boasts a silver-colored dial with a radial satin finish, offering an elegant sheen. The face, featuring bar indices and dauphine hands, captures the unique expression characteristic of vintage watches. The smooth bezel of the Oyster case adds a touch of sportiness. Its simple and unpretentious design, along with a versatile silhouette, makes it a reliable and stylish choice for various occasions, ranging from business to formal settings. It comes equipped with a 64-2 period "Deboso" buckle and a riveted Oyster bracelet.

The embedded Cal.1560 movement incorporates the "Free Sprung" mechanism, adjusting the watch's accuracy by regulating the inertia moment of the balance wheel. This marked the introduction of the "Free Sprung" mechanism in Rolex, eliminating the need for a regulating index. With minimal stress on the hairspring, it ensures long-term precision stability and isochronism. Achieving this required high-precision part manufacturing and delicate adjustment techniques, showcasing Rolex's technological prowess of that era. The chronometer-grade movement is robust against shocks, providing a stable and accurate experience for everyday wear.

The case exhibits remarkable proportions with few noticeable large scratches or marks. The dial maintains a silver color with minimal fading. No discoloration is observed on the indices, presenting a dial with a tension-filled brilliance. Given the delicate nature of the dial's expression, the excellent condition becomes a major focal point. The watch has been disassembled and cleaned by our company, confirming a power reserve of 48 hours.

In the current watch industry, where sports models often steal the spotlight, Rolex's standard models, like this Oyster Perpetual, remain unwaveringly the brand's main focus. Regardless of fashion, business, or setting, the Rolex brand delivers a unique sense of excitement when held, making it the brand's greatest allure.
