COMMENT

1968年製造の、小薔薇のプリンセスオイスターデイト。同年の後期には盾ロゴが採用されるので小薔薇の最後期にあたります。ダイヤルは メタリックなグレーの横ヘアライン仕上げ。ティピカルなバーハンドの針と、バーインデックスを採用。ブレスレットはRef.7204、エンドリンク70、クラスプデイト70/4です。

ケースは傷の一切見られない、清潔感あふれるものです。ダイヤルはパーフェクトです。また針やインデックスはメッキの剥がれがなく、美しい鏡面反射をします。ロレックス純正のブレスレットは、伸びが少ない良いものです。

ティピカルなフェイスと特徴的なケースデザインは上質なアクセサリーのようで、洗練された大人の女性を演出してくれます。自動巻機構ですので、腕に付けるだけでゼンマイが巻き上げられ1日半ほど動いてくれます。21時から0時を往復することで日付の早送りが可能ですので、使い勝手の良さが嬉しいポイントです。

1926年にROLEXのイギリス普及拡大のため誕生したディフュージョンブランド。ブランド名もイギリスの名門『チューダー家』にちなんだもので市民に親しみやすさをアピールしようとしていたことが窺い知れる。ヴィンテージチュードル人気のポイントはやはり、ケースやリューズなどROLEXのパーツが使われていること、チューダー家の薔薇の紋章をロゴに採用したことでロレックスと同じケースながら、ダイアルにはバラのロゴが配された“デカバラ”や“小バラ”と呼ばれるチュードル独自の人気モデルが誕生した。その後チュードルはロゴを盾をモチーフにしたものに変更し現在ではROLEXからは離れ、独自路線を進むことになる。

COMMENT

This 1968 Princess Oysterdate features the "Small Rose" logo, which was replaced by the shield logo later that year, making this one of the last models with the Small Rose. The dial has a metallic grey horizontal hairline finish. It uses typical bar hands and bar indices. The bracelet is Ref.7204 with end links marked 70 and a clasp dated 70/4.

The case is immaculate, free from any scratches, exuding a pristine appearance. The dial is perfect. The hands and indices have no signs of peeling and offer a beautiful mirror finish. The genuine Rolex bracelet is in excellent condition with minimal stretch.

The typical face and distinctive case design give the watch the appearance of a high-quality accessory, perfect for a sophisticated woman. The automatic movement winds itself while worn and runs for about a day and a half. You can quickly set the date by moving the hands back and forth between 9 PM and midnight, making it a convenient feature.

The brand name was inspired by the prestigious Tudor family of England, aiming to make the brand more approachable to the public.
