デイトジャストは1945年に登場して以来、ロレックスの主力モデルとしてその地位を保ち続けています。ヴィンテージデイトジャストとして広く知られるRef.1601の中でも、こちらは希少な例で、ケース全てに18金無垢イエローゴールドを用いています。貴金属ケースのRef.1601は、デイデイトと同様のラグの根の内側が盛り上がっている形状とラグに横穴がなく、ドレススタイルとして洗練されています。ダイヤルはサンバースト仕上げ。アルファハンドと多面カットのインデックスが、素晴らしいヴィンテージウォッチのデザインです。

ケースは傷がほとんど見られず、プロポーションに優れています。7時ラグ裏のホールマークがしっかりと視認できるのがポイントです。シリアルは摩耗により、消えかかっているところがあります。ダイヤルは写真の通り、経年変化が表れています。針とインデックスは上面の鏡面仕上げが美しく輝きます。ルミナスは形に崩れが見られず、ベージュカラーが美しいです。弊社にて分解掃除済みで、パワーリザーブ48時間以上を確認しています。

Since its debut in 1945, the Datejust has remained a cornerstone of Rolex's collection. This particular Ref. 1601, widely recognised as a vintage Datejust, is a rare example featuring an 18k solid yellow gold case. The precious metal case of the Ref. 1601 shares the same raised inner lugs and lacks the lug holes as seen in the Day-Date, giving it a refined dress style. The dial is sunburst finished, and the combination of alpha hands and multi-faceted indices exemplifies superb vintage watch design.

The case shows minimal signs of wear, maintaining excellent proportions. The hallmark on the back of the 7 o'clock lug is clearly visible, a notable feature. The serial number shows some wear but is still partially legible. The dial exhibits natural ageing as shown in the photos. The hands and indices have a beautiful mirror finish, gleaming brilliantly. The luminous material is intact, maintaining an attractive beige colour. The watch has been disassembled and cleaned by our company, with a confirmed power reserve of over 48 hours.

Though a high-end model crafted from solid gold, the combination of vintage design elements results in a watch that is not overly ostentatious but perfectly balanced. It is a piece full of luxurious elegance, unaffected by changing trends.
