COMMENT

小ぶりなサイズが腕に馴染む、TUDORのMINI-SUBです。「ミニ」とはいえ、サブマリーナの名を冠しているだけあり、200m防水、視認性の高いダイヤルなど、本格プロダイバー向けのスペックを備えています。深みのあるブルーの両回転式ベークライトベゼルとエナメル質のダイヤルが目を引きます。針はベンツ針、根元のくびれたペンシルハンド、ロリポップ秒針と、サブマリーナと同様のディテールです。

チュードルとしては最後のプラスチック風防で、クラシックな雰囲気を持っています。これ以降のモデルはデザインが一新され、サファイアガラスに変更されます。ブレスレットはTUDOR純正のフォールデッドオイスターブレスレットを装備しています。裏蓋には王冠マークと共に「ORIGINAL OYSTER CASE BY ROLEX」の文字が刻印されています。

ケースのプロポーションは非常に良く、ラグやベゼルのエッジが際立ち、鏡面とヘアラインの面取りがしっかりと分かれています。ダメージを受けやすいベークライトベゼルにはヒビ割れや欠けは見られません。ダイヤルには気になるような汚れやエイジングはなく、針のメッキも剥がれがなく、光を美しく反射します。トリチウムの焼けは最小限で、オフホワイトカラーを保っています。弊社にて分解掃除済みで、42時間のパワーリザーブを確認しています。

ロレックスにはないサイズ感のサブマリーナです。良好な状態のミニサブを市場で見つけるのは難しくなってきています。こちらは瑞々しい状態ですので、お客様ご自身で育てていただくのも良いですし、青サブとしてコレクションするのもお勧めです。

COMMENT

The TUDOR MINI-SUB is a small-sized watch that fits comfortably on the wrist. Despite its "mini" designation, it bears the Submariner name, boasting professional diver specifications such as 200m water resistance and a highly legible dial. The deep blue bi-directional Bakelite bezel and enamel dial are particularly striking. It features Mercedes hands, the distinctive pencil hands with a narrow base, and a lollipop seconds hand, similar to those on the Submariner.

This model is the last Tudor to feature a plastic crystal, adding a classic touch. Subsequent models saw a redesign and a switch to sapphire crystal. It is equipped with a genuine TUDOR folded Oyster bracelet. The case back is engraved with the crown emblem and the words "ORIGINAL OYSTER CASE BY ROLEX."

The case proportions are excellent, with prominent lugs and bezel edges, and a clear distinction between the polished and brushed surfaces. The Bakelite bezel, often prone to damage, shows no cracks or chips. The dial is free from noticeable dirt or aging, and the hands retain their plating, beautifully reflecting light. The tritium lume has minimal patina, maintaining an off-white colour. It has been disassembled and cleaned by our company, with a confirmed power reserve of 42 hours.

This Submariner has a size not found in Rolex's range. Finding a MINI-SUB in good condition is becoming increasingly difficult. Given its pristine state, it is ideal for personal use and development or as a collectible blue Submariner.

TUDOR was established in the 1930s as a diffusion brand of ROLEX. While ROLEX was renowned for its exceptional manufacturing techniques, its high production costs and low public recognition made it less accessible. TUDOR, on the other hand, was popular among the general public for its affordability. The eventual widespread acceptance of TUDOR significantly boosted ROLEX's recognition, helping it achieve its current status as a globally renowned brand.
