Ref.884100は、大きな45分積算計から「ビッグ アイ」としても知られるユニバーサルジュネーブの名品。ダイヤル中央はマットホワイト、BASE 1000のタキメータースケールを配した外周部は光を反射する仕上げです。ダイヤル、インダイヤルにそれぞれレッドプリントのラインが入り視認性に長けています。ブルースチール製の針は、極太かつ夜光塗料を塗布しており、このモデルの大きな魅力となっています。搭載ムーブメントはValjoux 23をチューンナップした、手巻き式Cal.125です。

ケースは気になるようなダメージの見られない、良好なコンディションです。ラグ上面のヘアライン仕上げ、側面の鏡面仕上げとのエッジが効いています。ケースバックは着用による摩耗により、刻印が消えています。ダイヤルは経年変化により、クリームカラーへの色づきとポツポツとした経年変化を見せています。手に取ってみると、フレッシュな印象です。プリントは欠けが見られず、パーフェクトです。特徴的なブルースチール針は光に反射させると、深みのある青色を見せます。夜光の色味はベージュカラーで良好です。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

The Ref.884100, also known as the "Big Eye," is a renowned masterpiece from Universal Genève featuring a prominent 45-minute chronograph counter. Its dial center boasts a matte white finish, while the outer perimeter adorned with a BASE 1000 tachymeter scale reflects light beautifully. The dial and sub-dials feature red printed lines, enhancing legibility. The blue steel hands, thick and applied with luminescent paint, are a significant allure of this model. It houses the hand-wound Cal.125, a modified version of the Valjoux 23 movement.

The case is in excellent condition, showing no significant damage. The top surfaces of the lugs exhibit hairline finishing, contrasting with the polished edges on the sides. Wear on the case back has caused the engravings to fade. The dial displays aging effects, with a cream hue and scattered aging spots. Nonetheless, it presents a fresh impression upon closer inspection, with intact printing. The distinctive blue steel hands exhibit a deep blue hue when reflecting light, and the beige-colored luminescence remains in good condition. It has been disassembled and cleaned by us.

Among the Big Eye variants, the white dial is particularly popular. Despite minor signs of use, it is reasonably priced, making it a must-have for enthusiasts seeking enjoyment. Fans of Universal Genève should definitely consider this piece.
