TUDOR SUBMARINER Ref.9411/0 Snowflake

COMMENT

1973年から生産されたチュードルサブマリーナ、Ref.9411/0です。時針の形状から「スノーフレーク」呼ばれているチュードルサブならではのモデル。前機種にあたるRef.7021からの変更点は、ムーブメントがETA2784にアップデートされハック機能が付いています。リファレンス表記が1976 年頃を境に「9411/0」から「94110」へと変更されますが、こちらは前者です。ブルーダイヤル、ブルーベゼルの人気のカラーです。フォールデッドのオイスターブレスレットRef.7836、エンドリンク382を装備しています。

ケースは痩せの少ない素晴らしいプロポーションです。ケースサイドに傷は散見されますが、実物は写真ほどは目立ちません。ベゼルは退色が素晴らしく、傷がないコンディションで、最高評価です。ダイヤルは写真の通り、このリファレンス特有の経年変化が現れています。ルミナスは濃いベージュカラーに焼け、サブマリーナー雰囲気を高めています。ベゼルのポインターのルミナスとのマッチが素晴らしいです。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

チュードルのアイデンティティを感じさせるスノーフレーク針は、前期種Ref.7021のブルーダイヤル 1968 年 (62++++)から始まり、このRef.9411/0を最後に、1984年にRef.76100からロリポップへと変更されます。日本ではイカサブとも呼ばれ、チュードルならではの遊び心が大いに感じられる名品。

1930年代に＜ROLEX＞のディフュージョンブランドとして誕生。素晴らしい製造技術を誇りながらも、時計製造コストが高く認知度が低かった＜ROLEX＞に対して、低価格で一般庶民に親しまれた＜TUDOR＞。結果的には＜TUDOR＞が世間に認められたことで、＜ROLEX＞の認知度は急激に高まり、＜ROLEX＞は現在の「世界的に有名」なブランドとして認められるようになりました。

This is a Tudor Submariner Ref. 9411/0, produced from 1973. Known as the "Snowflake" due to the unique shape of the hour hand, this model is highly sought after by collectors. An update from the previous Ref. 7021, the movement has been upgraded to the ETA 2784, which includes a hacking feature. Around 1976, the reference number changed from "9411/0" to "94110," and this is the earlier version. The blue dial and blue bezel are particularly popular color combinations. It comes equipped with a folded Oyster bracelet, Ref. 7836, with end links 382.

The case retains excellent proportions with minimal thinning. While there are visible scratches on the case sides, they are less noticeable in person than in photos. The bezel is in outstanding condition, showing almost no signs of damage. As seen in the photos, the dial exhibits some patina from age. The luminous material has aged to a rich beige color, enhancing the Submariner's vintage appeal. The matching luminous on the bezel pointer adds to the overall charm. The movement has been fully serviced by us.

The Snowflake hands, a defining characteristic of Tudor, first appeared with the blue dial on the Ref. 7021 in 1968. This Ref. 9411/0 is the last model to feature these hands, which were replaced by the lollipop design with the introduction of Ref. 76100 in 1984. In Japan, it is affectionately called the "Ika Sub" (Squid Sub), a nod to Tudor’s playful and distinctive design.

BRAND

Tudor was established in the 1930s as a diffusion brand of Rolex. While Rolex was renowned for its excellent craftsmanship, its watches were expensive and not widely known. Tudor, on the other hand, offered more affordable options, becoming popular among the general public. As Tudor gained recognition, it significantly boosted Rolex’s reputation, eventually helping Rolex achieve the global fame it enjoys today.
