COMMENT 

時計のデザイナーとして有名なジェラルド・ジェンタが手がけた一つとして知られるヨットクラブは、流線型のヘッドに張り出したドーム風防が特徴的です。耐震構造を内部に備えたスポーツモデルですが、14金無垢 × SSバックのケースはゴージャスでドレッシーです。防水性能を示した、お魚リューズを装着しています。ダイヤルは放射状にヘアライン加工を施したサンレイ。光が入った際、濃淡の波が放射状に広がります。針はペンシルハンド、インデックスはバーでIWCらしいクラシカルな選定です。どちらも上面に黒の塗料を塗布した、視認性が考えられたデザイン。小さなパールドロップのミニッツは整然としていて、良いアクセントです。

ケースはプロポーションが良く、Cラインのエッジが効いています。鏡面のベゼルとラグのヘアラインとの切り替えもしっかりとしています。ダイヤルは気になる汚れがなく、光を美しく反射します。針やインデックス、パールドロップにくすみは見られず、キラキラと鏡面反射を見せています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

ヨットクラブはヘビーデューティーな仕様と流れるようなCラインケースのプロポーションを持ち合わせた、スポーティーエレガンスな時計として販売を開始しました。 金無垢モデルのこちらは、当時の防水技術と、IWCのモットーであるドレッシーな要素を最大限に融合させた一つの答えとして、売り出したに違いありません。

IWCのCal.85系自動巻きムーブメントは、独自機構のペラトン式を採用しています。巻き上げの際には、ビーズを転がすような音色を鳴らします。その音量は他社製品と比べて、明らかに大きいことが特徴となっています。

The Yacht Club, known as one of the creations by the renowned watch designer Gerald Genta, features a distinctive domed crystal protruding from its streamlined case. Despite being a sports model with internal shock resistance, the 14k solid gold × stainless steel caseback exudes luxury and elegance. It sports a fish logo on the crown, indicating its waterproof capabilities. The dial undergoes a sunray finish with radial hairline brushing, creating a mesmerizing radiance when light hits it, with pencil hands and bar indices chosen in a classical IWC fashion, both coated with black paint on the top for enhanced visibility. The petite pearl drop minute markers add a neat accent to the dial.

The case boasts excellent proportions with sharp C-line edges. The transition between the mirror-polished bezel and the brushed lugs is well-defined. The dial is free from any noticeable dirt, reflecting light beautifully. There are no signs of tarnishing on the hands, indices, or pearl drops; instead, they sparkle with mirror-like reflections. The watch has been fully disassembled and cleaned by our team.

The Yacht Club was introduced as a sporty yet elegant timepiece, combining heavy-duty specifications with the flowing C-line case proportions. This particular solid gold model perfectly blends the waterproof technology of the time with IWC's motto of dressy elegance.

IWC's Cal.85 series automatic movement adopts the patented Pellaton winding system, known for its distinctive sound resembling rolling beads during winding. Its volume is notably louder compared to other brands, distinguishing it as an IWC hallmark.
